My vote goes for "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." I loved how Celine flew in the air. It's just a shame that we'll never really know if it was this number that caused her hernia or not.

I love TFTEISYF, but I voted for FEVER. It has a spark and sexiness that her show desperately needs. Her show is becoming more of a balladfest, and she needs more energizing songs.

I voted "Fever" but I also love “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” (with Celine flying) and “Have You Ever Been In Love”!!! :D

 

I agree that some songs may change but I hope that the dvd of she show will include all the songs she performed on "A New Day..." If not I will be very disappointed... :cry:

I can't decide between TFTEISYF (if she was still flying this would get my vote! :wub: ) Nature Boy :wub: and the brilliant Fever! :clap:

 

I thought it was confirmed the TFTEISYF did cause Celines Hernia?

I really loved "Et, je t'aime encore". It had a really nice vibe and I loved the way Celine performed it. It was very meaningful!

I loved having (Et) Je T'aime Encore in the show! They dropped a huge sheet that looked like a stationary sheet of paper and as she sang in French the English translation appeared on the sheet. Plus it was the perfect tribute to JJG!

Celine flying during The First Time was beautiful, but I wouldn't want Céline to hurt herself like that again.

I don't remember In Some Small Way ever being in the show, but if she performed it with Barnev like she did on several TV shows - It would be my #1 pick!

She sang ISSW in the show from end of 2004 to beginning of 2005 for about 1 month or less. She dedicate the song to the Tsunami victims. Barnev did join with her on stage. You can check a video from CNN at 2005 new year on celinechannel.com

Et Je T'aime Encore, such a beautiful song, I adore it. But Have You Ever Been In Love also perfectly fits the show. I never saw that performance, because when I saw the show for the first time it was already out of the song list. I hope it will be on the DVD if it ever comes.

From what I remember reading or hearing somewhere they said the hernia could have been caused by the flying, but it could have also been caused by her pregnancy, a simple cough, etc. Maybe I missed the article that confirmed it was the flying.

Fever for sure!!

 

Not because it was the last one taken out and I have the best memory of it but simply because it was one of the high lights of the show. It was one of the best performances Céline has ever done. It shocks me to see the poor judgement from those responsible for the song list.

 

After Fever I'd choose TFTEISYF or AL. TFTEISYF "only" because of the flying performance, if she ain't gonna fly I don't care much about this song not being there. Then it might as well be giving it's space to another track. AL simply because Céline is such as star each time she performs this song - especially at the show from March 5 2006 (the wonderful bootleg), the way she improvises in the end here is just heaven (aswell in the end of Seduces Me and Fever, the arabic way is just so so so so so gooood) She does it with such grace and quality, it's remarkable.

 

I have to repeat myself: it is such a lost for A New Day... to have Fever removed.

 

To be honest the show has lost a lot of it's over all feeling. As much as I adore All The Way, replacing AL and Fever with this track is such a party pooper. It slows the show down. Having AL and Fever in marked a very dear spot of the evening when it was time to salute good old music and put on a real first class show number. As you can see I just can't get it why they took it away.

 

The only thing I can think of is that Céline might be afraid of becoming dizzy and fall, now because of this thing labyrintis(was it??). And as I understand it she climbs the dancers during this performance, which takes a lot of balance
