Bruno Portugal Posted May 4, 2006 at 11:38 AM Posted May 4, 2006 at 11:38 AM I would love if Celine recorded a jazz album. She says that she will prefer "quality to quantity" and that's also my opinion. I don't want more albums like "One Heart" or singles like her latest up-tempo ones. She's CELINE DION, the diva, and she deserves better albums. We trust you Celine PS: I would love if she recorded a duet with Diana Krall and Michael Bublé Quote My Webpage >>> TRIBUTE TO CELINE DION
Céline's Blues Posted May 4, 2006 at 02:08 PM Author Posted May 4, 2006 at 02:08 PM Gogo, the JAZZ wish is the phattest title on the interview page of the interview!!! LMAO@Vinny, you are too much! Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

LMAO@Vinny, you are too much! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> maybe if someone will translate this entire interview we all would be able to know what she said...for now it all sounds a mess Quote
Tal Posted May 4, 2006 at 03:24 PM Posted May 4, 2006 at 03:24 PM Del translated the interview for my over MSN last night and he said Celine said nothing about an acousitic or jazz album....it was only referenced by the magazine. I'm not really a big fan of jazz so I'm not that excited about the possibility of her recording a jazz album. An acoustic one on the other hand sounds nice! Especially for an English project. Céline's Blues Posted May 4, 2006 at 03:56 PM Author Posted May 4, 2006 at 03:56 PM It wasn't in the interview itself but that's what they highlighted on the pages concerning her future plans. She must have told them about it to say at least otherwise they wouldn't have even mentioned JAZZ and Céline Dion in the same sentence. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
thevoice Posted May 4, 2006 at 04:03 PM Posted May 4, 2006 at 04:03 PM can someone just translate this interview?!?!?!?!? Quote
Tal Posted May 4, 2006 at 04:03 PM Posted May 4, 2006 at 04:03 PM But I wish she'd go more in depth about it. Is it just a desire, or is something actually being worked on? Btw, Sebby I got your PM and its ok...I was just saying hello Quote I live my life like a runawayI hide my dreams in a special placeI'm waiting here for my prince to comeTo save me from the darkness...
fred Posted May 4, 2006 at 04:38 PM Posted May 4, 2006 at 04:38 PM (edited) What wierd title of this thread. Sure I have been hoping for this for so long. But now I don't know. Jazz doesn't sound good nowadays anymore, to find good jazz you'll have to look at albums from the 50-60ies. The little trend wave which has just passed has turned jazz into something really really bad (take a look at Jamie Collum). What I really hope is when Céline decides to do a jazz album it will be in English. Time for some fun and experimenting stuff in English too!! Céline Dion has the perfect voice and feeling for blues, so I kind of hope she'll do a more blues oriented jazz album when that day comes. An acoustic album would be super!! And people why not a full jazz album, you all wanted an album all produced by David Foster, you got it, Miracle, and look how quiet you all got about that subject. And Suir, please take a listen to Anita O'Day's versions of What Is This Thing Called Love from Swings Cole Porter with Billy May, Tea For Two from live at Mister Kelly's and Sweet Gorgia Brown from Pick Yourself Up and imagine Céline doing them. Imagine also Céline's interpretion of the bluesy Since I Fell For You. /fred Edited May 4, 2006 at 04:43 PM by fred Quote Peace and love to all.
xo1hrt4celineox Posted May 4, 2006 at 05:04 PM Posted May 4, 2006 at 05:04 PM Personally, I'm on the fence about the jazz album, but i definatly would love to hear an acoustic album from her. I guess when it comes down to it anything she sings will be phenominal, so all is welcome. It will be nice to hear some different things.
