As title,I would like to know ....

Do you really like the album"On Ne Change Pas"?

In my opinion,I really dislike this kind of compilation.

It's only waste my money if we have already buy most of her French albums(even though it's not expensive in Taiwan by contract)

It's really,really meaningless to realse compilation(with most of songs from the early albums)

Before it was released,I was used to think it would be a semi-compilation like All the Way... a Decade of Song ...................

 

What I want to know is-----why don't Celine record more new songs or uncover the unreleased songs instead?

Because of Rene Angelil,Celine has share many songwriters, producers(Jean-Jacques Goldman、Erick Benzi、Jacques Veneruso、Aldo Nova、Gildas Arzel.............)with singers such as Marilou、Garou.....,and those songwriters, producers help contribute to their (Marilou、Garou) music so much;thus make them really famous know.(but not for Celine's recently,WHY OH WHY?????)

 

Celine really need to records more new songs rather than releases compilation(with most of songs from the early albums)

My opinion is that I have never heard hardly any of these songs, so that gives me a chance to hear the ones I haven't heard. I LOVE the album very much. I like it but not love it... i wish Tous les secrets would be also on the other album because if i want to listen it i must listen to all old songs and i can't listen the old albums...

Don't complain about that.

It's true that you have buy many celine's Album.

But not everyone is like you.

There are some wonderful songs in it.

Nope, I don't like it, so I didn't buy it. I rather agree with you, RRPhantom...I wish there had been more to it...more special things other than three new songs. And even those songs I'm not fussy about. So for me, it's little more than a blip on the radar.

 

But I understand how many fans would love it, with the old songs such.

Greatest Hits albums, imo, are never really for the hardcore fans. Because hard core fans most likely own all of the artists albums. But for a quasai fan, they are a great way to get better known and popular songs all in one place.

 

I also think GH albums are a bit of an old fashion idea. Nowadays with CD burners and MP3 players, people can make their own compilations. Thats why GH albums need to offer more, like DVD content and an extra track or two.

 

ATW had a bit of a personality disorder. I love all the new songs on that album, dont get me wrong. But it was neither here nor there in terms of the kind of album it was. Its like they didnt have enough content to make a full new album and she was going on hiatus and they needed to release something asap. Conceptually was a little hodge podge if you ask me.

See now i disagree with the "this isn't for hardcore fans" statement because I consider myself a hardcore fan and because this actually has new tracks on it (i know only three but still) that makes it worth it. Plus i think its nice to have all her hits handy in one (2disc) collection. Its the celebration of years and years and years of work and i think its totally justified and encouraged, at least form this fan. I also really like the cover, i though the pic was gorgeous!

I'm a hardcore fan too and I bought ONCP...because I'm a hardcore fan and I buy whatever she does, lol. All I'm saying is that hardcore fans arent necessarily the target audience for these types of projects because we most likely own all of these different albums the songs are complied from.

I love this Cd especially je ne ouvlie pas, tous les secrets, sous le vent, tout l hor de hommes, and I believe in you and Je lui dirai. I know some of these songs are on other cd's but i don't have them and can't find them in any music store where I live.

I peronally enjoy the album. It's her entire French Career from start to now. I think it's a wonerful idea. If you don't think the album is for you and you don't want to buy it then don't. As for Celine recording more songs and releasing more material. I think she needs to concentrate on Vegas and make a new album. I don't want her to rush. I want something breathtaking as the next album.

personally, I liked it, because it combines celine's french hits all over the years with some new songs like I believe in you. it's a celebration of her "french career".

I like the new songs on the album. Plus it's the best French compilation I have to listen to for Celine. I hated the fact the Sony's XCP software killed my DVD-RW drive, but the replacement CDs work in my replacement DVD drive. And I got free MP3 downloads from Walmart.com, according to the letter I received in the mail. So all in all, not too bad. Saves any more possible wear on my CD's. Some of them are badly scratched at this point.

I don't think so.It's easy for Celine to get topnotch songwriters and producers.

As everyone knows,the album drop out Would I Know and Run Like a River (written by Diane Warren) These songs were removed to make place for the song Then You Look At Me.So I think they have enough content to make a full new album

That album is one of the only Celine albums that I don't own yet..but I'm sure I probably would like it..I have a collection of songs that I bought quite a while back that I enjoy.

I love this album. Unfortunately I don't own every French record like you may own, so I am glad I can get the best of her French music on 1 compilation.
