It was quite hard watching that clip again with them all trying to get one better on each other, they should have just let celine do it hers is the best version anyway

well that night Celine's voice is in top shape so yeah...!!

and i wish MC's voice was in top... then she can use the whistle sound hahha and it would be more competition.. hahah aretha celine and mairah ahhahahaha

Céline's voice was actually far from being in top shape that night. She rarely has been in vocal top shape in 1998 and upwards.

 

And I don't think we should be overly concerned about what Mariah or whoever else did back then on stage. It was a fun concert, but truly nothing that special. In the end counts that Céline is actually the only one today that still has her voice and would blow all the flock away with just only one note of "Papilion".

Hey Maz ... so was it actually supposed to be Celine, Shania, Gloria AND Mariah with Carole King or did one of the others take Mariah's place?

Any idea what the argument was about?

 

I remeber watching the A & E Biogragy of Celine and Carole King said she was very proud that Celine didn't back down when singing with Aretha!

I'm sure there was no argument between Céline and Mariah. All that stuff are just rumours, they do like each other actually. Other than that I could see Mariah a little jelaous of Céline outselling her big time and not even caring for it. That very fact of Céline's carelessness about her sales must have made Mariah even more fed up.
