官方消息说celine的第二个蜡像将于5月7日在Caesars Palace揭幕.揭幕仪式将作为第500场show的一项庆祝活动.

 

这次的蜡像由Le Musée Grévin制作,蜡像本身的衣服取材于98年celine在Oscar上演唱"My Heart Will Go On"时穿的衣服.

The official unveiling of Celine's second wax statue will take place on May 7 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as part of the 500th show celebration. The statue, created by Le Musée Grévin, will have on Celine's dress from the 1998 Academy Awards where 'My Heart Will Go On' (Love Theme from 'Titanic') won the Oscar for 'Best Original Song'. Celine's first wax replica, on display at Le Musée Grévin in Paris, has been one of the most popular attractions at the museum since it was first unveiled over two months ago. The second statue will remain on display inside The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

 

 

Céline’s wax statue, soon at Caesars Palace!

A team of Grévin Museum is working on the creation of a second wax statue which will be placed inside the Caesars Palace of Las Vegas where Céline Dion has been singing each week for three years. Capped with a chignon - rather than with long smooth hair like its Parisian "twin" placed at the Parisian museum - Las Vegas’ statue will also be dressed differently. "The wax statue will wear the blue dress that Céline wore in 1998 when she received a Grammy Award for her song from Titanic", reveals the spokesman of the Museum, Veronique Berecz. The dress isn’t the original one, but it was made out of the same fabric which was used to manufacture it.

 

"That was not a small matter since we had to contact Michael Kors, the stylist who made the dress, so that he helps us to find the original fabric", indicates the spokesman. Ironically, the invaluable material came from the mark Celine, a dressmaker who, even if he has the same name, has no link with the singer. The statue with the right hand on the chest will be identical to the Parisian one.

 

The "twin"-statue will be unveiled during Céline Dion’s 500th show in Las Vegas, on May 7th. A team of the Grévin Museum - the sculptor Claus Velte and the director of the Museum herself, Béatrice de Reyniès - is already on the spot to check its installation and other details. "The statue left Paris last Tuesday", specified Mrs. Berecz, while explaining with which high care the fragile wax work was installed on the plane. "A specialized team transported it as if Mona Lisa were transported. After all, it is a work of art which was created by artists ", she said. The inauguration of the statue in Las Vegas will be the very first one in the United States for the prestigious French museum.
