No need to thank me, I'm just doing what I love doing. Actually, it would be a dream of mine to be involved with a Celine project, whether I was getting paid or not. Just as long as I get the recognition somewhere that's all I care about. There's a few other things I'm planning to write to Celine's team about, but I'm going to hold off for a few days/weeks. I don't want to bombard them with 5 million letters.

 

On a different note I just wanted to thank everybody so far for their input and their support on this. I know nothing major has happened yet, but believe me when and if it does you guys will be getting A LOT of credit. Just cross your fingers everybody.

Well I don't see the need for a new Collector's series. It should be something to comfort us with during her next hiatus. Plus, has it ever occured to you guys that perhaps there wont ever be a sequal?

 

But of course why not? There was at least plan of a series, otherwise they wouldn't have given it the name it was given.

i quite agree. i also think that some songs such as superlove, just walk away, your light, etc., would be nice. Have a collectors series with songs that are actually rare and that you have to buy a bunch of different cds to listen to.

 

props to you for doing this, maybe if we could all agree on a song list and sent something in we would get noticed?

Then sony will release tons of new best of's to sqeese money out of her name, and after about 10-15 years when that trick ain't working anymore they'll release unreleased tracks one after another...

Thanks! It'll be interesting to see if I get a response. And yes, I agree with you that if we can agree on a few songs that should be included then they may listen. The songs I'd really like to see a push for are "Is Nothing Sacred," a live version of "I Surrender," and "Misled." I know "Misled" is mentioned a lot, but it is, after all, one of her best uptempo numbers. "Unison (Single Mix With Rap) - Feat. Frankie Fudge" is another that I'd like see a push for.

 

I'm thinking that the only way "Is Nothing Sacred" is ever going to see the day of light is if Feeling Productions, Inc. and Sony get bombarded by e-mail and regular mail. How's the old saying go..."The squeeky wheel gets the oil?" If anyone needs the addresses as to where I sent my letters just ask and I'll be happy to ablidge.

You are so right about this. And it's great that you're trying. But honestly a new Collector's Series isn't on top of my list. If I could wish for two stuff (except the AND DVD) to be released which I know they have are:

 

1) Any live concert from the Let's Talk About Love tour (English)(it is such a shame we have nothing from this, Céline's at her peak of her career and has major star status, when just getting super famous with MHWGO, the whole 98-99 era is very golden, and yet no live concet from that time is released (I don't count ACDS, coz I really think it's a shame a French concert came out, even though she's much more known for her English work).

 

2) The A New Day Has Come CBS TV Special from 2002 (with every song performed that night, not only the "cut" version which was shown on TV, and with the original live performance of GTSW (the only live version) and not the dubbed over with studio track version.) This is a mile stone in her career: her come back concert. And it pains me so that they actually have considered releasing the 1999 CBS Special, where everything is playback, and it doesn't have as much tracks as the 2002 one, plus this one isn't a treat to fans, a lot of fans are frustrated with the studio track dubbed The Colour Of My Love concert DVD.

 

So, after we're finnished with the TCS vol. 2 thing, is anyone with me on this?
