Her strong voice often draws favourable comparisons to Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. Legendary songwriter Diane Warren commented that "Cosima is the younger Celine Dion. She’s a little edgier than Celine, more dynamic.” Cosima grew up in Perth, Western Australia with her Italian family and entered various talent contests while in school. Cosima cited Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Tina Turner and George Michael as being major influences on her personal style.
