RFM interview: April's fool day's jest?

Do you have the same hunch as me that Céline's interview on the April's Fools Day will be a lil hoax?

 

She said in that interview that possible release date for her new French album is September and that a series of French concerts is planned for the summer of 2007.

 

Frankly about the concerts in 2007 - we only know these rumours of 5 nights at Stade De France. After that Céline would go on break again.

Siur the source of this news once said also that on the JNVOP single there was "A PARIS", then she said that Celine and Marilou made a duet to release..in her last post she said Celine will talk about a new french album and she(= source)added(maybe she will release it in september 2006)it was her/source opinion not Celine's decision!Celine talked about new french album many times BTW once again I dont trust the source of this news..then I really dont know

i dont know about the source but i'm sure celine will tour france again after vegas...the only question is when? not if...

she'll do it sooner or later - whether after or before her next break...

Well, but she still got MANY many things right. I thus have no reason to disbelieve her.

 

Also in the French section there is this member who emailed the station he said and they replied him and said Céline named september as the possible release date for the French CD...

Nobody forces you to buy her French CDs, Vinny. But I think it's time to realize that Céline isn't American and her mother tongue is something else than English.

i can only hope there wont be a new english album...

the next english album should come AFTER vegas , so celine would be able to put a decent album and promote it right .

There are not only french fans(nothing against them dont get me wrong)and honestley i'm full of french stuff i bought all the versions of the GH,just coz i like her and i believe in her,but stop with french music for a while...I never did that but now for the first time i will not buy any french CD and for sure other fans with my same idea and i will do all to boycott her now!it's time to choose!of course i will like her french songs but it will be my little revolution!

I'm so disappointed to Céline's marketing team. There are not only french-speaking areas' fans. Worldwide fans want something from Céline, since 3 years.

LOL, Renato, you know it all. I did download the new songs from ONCP cuzz frankly I find there is absolutely no point in purchasing a compilation that destroys the magic and atmosphere of her French albums. I prefer listening to entire albums at all events!

 

I also don't know what the uproar is about. Céline has been putting English music year after year. We have like 12 English albums vs. 4 French ones. I mean PUHLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE. That's not even HALF where you *could* complain about how "neglected" her English fans are. I see absolutely no point in complaining.

 

Céline's strategy might have changed and she will release a new amazing sure quality French album in the fall. Yet of course Sony may decide otherwise and they will release a new English album... apart from that why not wait till March 2007? I bet she makes the wait worthwhile. Till then there will be some REAL music, eh? In French.

She will be back in Italy, Renato, mark my words! Not in 2006, but after Vegas. And gogo is right about the album. Let her release it when she can promote it a little in Europe. It _seems_ (although of course with Sony you NEVER EVER know) that they are aiming for a March 2007 English release or even later.

Yes, Céline is born french-canadian, her family speak french, her friends too. You all know how she is attached to her roots.

Celine dreamt of an international career. But her priorities have changed!

 

After so many time in Vegas, maybe she have realized that it was not the life she wanted to live. And her october arrival in Paris must have touched her a lot, in my opinion. So, everything is possible!

 

Like you, I want an english album. Be patient it will come, possibly in march 2007, as Siur said. But when she sings in french it's more intense, and I'm moving!

I know it might be cruel to think that Celine can't be everywhere in the world! I'm sorry for Italian fans. But if she'll make a new english album, the chance she'll go to Italy are not higher than if she'll make a french one.

I'd take it Maybe they are old names, but at least with those two we know it can be good quality, and she has always released English and French records, so I wouldn't worry - and btw, she sings almost every day in English in Las Vegas, so it doesn't hurt if she does a little more in French as well - but in the end, I hope after Las Vegas she releases an album with international promotion again. I mean it's 4 years now since A New Day Has Come and this album had so much more success than her recent ones because she didn't just promote it in two or three countries, but all over the world.

As Vinny said, the member who gave this info was not trustable. Céline's music selection is actually on RFM, but no words from Céline. No interview. No french album in September. No tour in Summer 2007.

Well i think after the Vegas thing she definately won't do any promoting or making any records right away or for at least 2 or 3 years!

 

I agree that she needs to promote albums in order for it to be sold around the world but there are some countries where she has never been and her records are still sold a lot and she is played on the radio everyday. One thing is certain, whatever celine may choose, she'll never ever fade away or be forgotten!

 

I hope though that after the Vegas thing and her rest after the show she will come back with an awesome album and that it will be as mind blowing as "A new day has come" album. I'm just happy that since 2002 she has released an album every year and sometimes more than one (2003) that's a lot more than some artists give their fans!

 

I guess only time will tell if any of the rumours are true.

If she has no time to promote a new English album why not releasing "The Collector's Series Vol. 2" or even "A New Day... Live In Las Vegas" DVD.

 

Why not something completely different like a Spanish album???
