ANDHC Special 2002...

Has anyone seen the ANDHC Special in 2002? I don't get one thing. Why did they have her singing other songs besides the ones from ANDHC? I thought that special was to promote the upcoming album and her return to the spotlight.

 

Don't get me wtong, that concert special was GREAT and everything and I loved it when she talked about her baby for one of the first times that year, but I really didn't see any need for her to sing other hits of hers, besides the songs from ANDHC. That's just my opinion about the show. What's yours?

It may have been an attempt at bridging the gap between the old and new, not only songwise, but Celine-wise too. "Here are some new songs folks, and here are some old hits that you'll love. And even though it's a new Celine, she's still the one you remember and love!!"

 

People always love that warm feeling of hearing things they are familiar with, so when you've heard five new songs, you can really grab an audience by singing an old one for which they have memories and to which they can sing along. It's good for the energy of the room. And it showed people that Celine was still the Celine they loved even after two years away. It was a good move, actually.

Well, she actually did sing quite a bit more from the ANDHC album, but for some reason CBS or Sony decided to edit them out. The songs that she sang that didn't air were...

I really wish they would have aired "Ten Days." The performance was so awesome and amazing. It was the song that stayed in my mind the most out of the entire show. Well, that and "When The Wrong One Loves You Right." But yeah, she should have sang "I Surrender," "Sorry For Love," "Right In Front Of You," and to be honest I would have been amused with seeing her perform "Rain, Tax (It's Inevitable)."

Yes. Aun Existe Amor was broadcasted in few channels too. But SONY dubbed the audio track as Goodbye's (The Saddest Word). And Ten Days has never been broadcasted anywhere.

It was a great show. I can't believe we didn't get Ten Days.

Has this song ever been aired? I kow we have the one from the french GH DVD, but it would be awesome to get the ANDHC version.

Don't be put off by that dreadful special! I saw it after seeing the show and they just don't compare. The songs are very badly edited and they are not even in the right order!
