CDI Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Does anyone here know how much Pour Toujours costs in the Vegas Boutique? pol Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Why are you asking about "Pour toujours" as there is For Keeps in English?? I don't know how much is it, but I have For Keeps, and on the back there's a price written: for the US - 39.95$ and for Canada 54.95$ Quote http://www.celinedion.com/celinedion/english/images/tourheader.gifhttp://img212.imageshack.us/img212/2794/25241103520d133287fabux1.jpg MY TOUR DATESJune 12th, 2008 - Berlin, GermanyJune 28th, 2008 - Cracow, Poland
SarahJB5 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I am sure it would be the face value of the book. The boutique would never offer it any cheaper! WendyB Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Yes, I think the same but I heard about a additional tax on all the stuff and items bought at the Boutique in LV... is it true???<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, its true alright. In the US tax is always added on at the till (unlike the UK where all items are inclusive of tax). When I was in Vegas in April, they had both books on special offer (can't remember the exact price but it was cheaper than that printed on the cover). The tax is 7.75% Nevada State Sales Tax. A word of warning for all of you who purchase items inside the Colosseum - as well as paying the State Tax, there is an additional 10% Entertainment Tax payable too I found this out when I bought a T-shirt which was available in the shop (but not in my size). The helpful assistant told me they had some inside the Colosseum, but didn't mention that it would work out more expensive. Oh well, you live and learn Quote

WendyB Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Isn't it possible to get the paid tax back at airport when you leave the US?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I've never seen a Tax Refund system in operation in the US. I found the following after doing a search using Google:- Another important thing to keep in mind about Louisiana is that it is the only state in the USA with tax-free shopping for international visitors. Let me explain a bit about sales tax in the USA, each state and some cities levy a tax on all purchases except for Delaware where there's no sales tax In the EU it is possible to reclaim the tax, as long as you are resident in a non-EU country. Teodora Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 OK, let me get this straight: the price on the tag, is not the real price? Do i have to calculate 7% and add it to find out the real price? I'm confused.... Quote

Teodora Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Thanks! That's good to know. Cause in Romania, what is written on the tag is what you pay...so much easier for the client. And fair too.. Quote
