Céline's Blues Posted February 21, 2006 at 10:33 AM Posted February 21, 2006 at 10:33 AM ...were the miracle we were all waiting for - theoretically. Céline is looking better than ever, radiant, healthy, shining, sexy. She has never been in sucha good shape in her entire career which also translates into a better more focused attitude towards music. My point is what IF all the meetings with Jenna last year impressed Céline so much that she decided ineed to take some time and reflect about her music? What if what Jenna said to Céline made her think about her fans in a different way? What if she indeed had actually an album scheduled for march 2006 and cancelled it CUZZ of her new experience with Jenna and her own fans' expectations? I don't know about you guys but it sounds logical to me - of course it's only a vague theory but I really want to believe that Jenna has been a real blessing for Céline and for us bringing together and telling Céline everything what we always wanted her to do - to express herself. Who knows, perhaps Céline took all that to heart and said: "I NEED TIME this year around. No album for March. Reney, chop chop - hire some quality producers, I heard about that Benoit Jurtas..." I think it'd be amazing especially if you consider that Céline learned whole lot of things about her fan base thanks to our dear Jenna. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg
julien Posted February 21, 2006 at 10:52 AM Posted February 21, 2006 at 10:52 AM (edited) "only a vague theory" It could be logical but yes, this is only a vague theory as you said Mr Siur... Of course she is in a good shape and seems to have a lot of interesting projects (jazz, cover of Freddy Mercury...) but since a long time she wants to do new things like learning guitare, sing more rock songs...And so on... And what is she doing, what are her choices ? a big show in Vegas, One heart, You and I and more recently "Tous les secrets" .... That means that now even in french she's doing crap songs : what a shame !!!!! Actually, it seems that she is totally lock up in a commercial yoke, and during all the Vegas period, I think that there is no place to make a really astonishing album which requires much time to find new producers, new compositors, and after to promote this in a new way. If these projects are done, it will be I think eventually after Vegas. but yes, maybe the bio and Jenna interview will have an impact. and maybe yes, we will have e decent album in 2006, thanks to what Jenna said to her. Céline's Blues Posted February 21, 2006 at 11:02 AM Author Posted February 21, 2006 at 11:02 AM Oh, julien. Got my PM? Yeah, we have to be patient. All the way through - being a Céline fan is certainly as much frustrating as it is rewarding. Oh, and I also agree that she will do something EXCEPTIONAL after Vegas, but I mean now in the coming two years of her contract I think Jenna's impact on Céline would be sufficient to have at least good albums for the fans to enjoy. And by "good" I mean coming from her heart without being much concerned about commerciallism like she herself admitted in the biography (ie she doesn't care for selling anymore). All we need now is patience and I refuse to believe she is in the suction of commerciallism till I hear her next album - English or French. Only then we will be able to judge 100% whther Vegas really affected her that much. If my Jenna theory is true the next album won't be amazing but it will be good - really something solid. Fingers crossed. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

thevoice Posted February 21, 2006 at 05:02 PM Posted February 21, 2006 at 05:02 PM i think this theory has nothing to do with reality .jenna is not that important to celine - just another person who worked with her...celine is nice to everybody and i'm sure jenna would like to say how close they r and yada yada yada . second - as long as celine is with sony - they wont let her do albums that wont be commercial or should i say what they THINK is commercial . third - i have to disagree with u seb - celine is NOT in the best shape ever . actually i think her voice sounds the worst ever this days in the few times we hear her sing live . she cant hit the hight notes , her voice is raspy and it seems like it's very hard for her to hit each and every note .i think she is still a great singer and my favourite singer ever but her voice is not getting any better cause obviously she is not trainning like she used to and she is not taking care of it anymore - and that's her right . Celine thanks to the International Forums on "For Keeps". Who knows if someone from Sony or Celine's team is reading our wishes about her next album??? We want 100% new material. And to make an all new album it takes time. Quote My Webpage >>> TRIBUTE TO CELINE DION
Salla Posted February 21, 2006 at 07:16 PM Posted February 21, 2006 at 07:16 PM (edited) They might not be the best buds, but I do believe, that working with Jenna opened a new "connection" between us, the fans, and Céline. And I truly believe, that this was the first time, that she actually heard such direct feedback from us. Yeah, we've told her we love her and she knows what a huge role she plays in our lives, but I doubt, that anyone of us has told her directly, what we really want from and for her. thevoice Posted February 21, 2006 at 08:56 PM Posted February 21, 2006 at 08:56 PM exactly . celine was totally unconnected to her fans and she is still not exactly aware of what we really want - it's such a waste because she is an amazing person but her record label only care about fast and easy money...maybe they dont want her to get to really know her fans so she wont hear what we have to say about sony .from various interviews we learned from between the lines that until recently she didnt have a say on anything - she was a product , 100% . she had no control on the songs for the albums , no control in the decisions about the singles .i think MIRACLE was the first album where we can say that it's something she really wanted , too bad sony turned it into a flop by putting old songs from previous albums there and not promoting it right . Come back to us!! You speaking like someone who hasn't had any sleep for days and have just emptied two bottles of wine - you sound like me. You seem to be very carried away over some small idea, which I really never seen you do before. So, Jenna worked with Céline on the For Keeps book. She interviewed Céline to get answers and material for her book, right? But she wasn't her manegar, mental coach or musical guru, right? /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
Céline's Blues Posted February 21, 2006 at 09:58 PM Author Posted February 21, 2006 at 09:58 PM Gogo, Céline is in best shape EVER. I meant physically and vocally it's just a matter of taste what you like and prefer. To me she sounds fine, extremely fine and as it seems she's having now the best time of her life in Vegas despite of the tight schedule. Fred, all I did was to point out the difference Jenna might have made in Céline's musical life. You should never rule this possibility out, it's a small chance of happening but still it exists. But yea sure there could be a possibility that she has allowed herself to do that because of the fans' feedback. What was it exactly this whole thing were about? Did fans send in opinions and wishes, or what? /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
Céline's Blues Posted February 21, 2006 at 10:09 PM Author Posted February 21, 2006 at 10:09 PM Fred, Jenna told her supposedly everything what fans wanted her to do - seems very selfish at first glance and of course it is (hahaha) BUT Céline's reaction was actually affirmative and was lil surprised that her fans thought partially the way she did. I mean it should not mean anything but it is a spark of hope, a spark I am no ready to ignore here. Quote http://i.imgur.com/dmreJ.jpg

Could have torn down Céline completely. When you put it that way yes hopefully she felt comfortable to take the beginning steps into a direction with less commercial and more artistic result. But we'll never know until next album. Whenever it might come. I only hope that whenever this album comes it will be in English. Coz she has explored more artistically in her French albums and "experiented" a bit more, it is mostly here we've been given snippets of what we now crave for, hehe, with her impro's and genre exploring. It is only with one producer she has done something similar in English and he's a Swede, (and I know you all blame Swedes for her commercial side) with a rocky side on Naked and the a little bit mysterious side and impro on My Precious One. So it is about time that she does it in English and only then can she reach the wider audience and charm the world and showing them what she's capable of. But that last part could be ignored since that is solely out of a fan's selfish view. /fred Edited February 21, 2006 at 10:47 PM by fred Quote Peace and love to all.

Peer Astrom has produced good music for Céline : Have You Ever Been In Love, My Precious One, Ain't Gonna Look The Other Way and I like what he said in Siur's signature :- Peer Astrom wants to produce blues tracks for her. About the Jenna thing : Right now it's only "would" and "could" It has been like that in her whole career. She talked about things she wanted to do and some she realised and other she never did. We have to wait for her next album to see how far she really goes. Quote
