[Céline's Blues]

GREAT live album/DVD/package. Even if Céline's vocals weren't all that good, she still sang her #ss off! The whole DVD is so well made along with the glittering menu, sharp picture quality and of course amazing sound. Somehow Céline's voice is never up to par when she's on such important TV event! LOL But she still was the diva of the night.

 

I'm so glad they released it and cut it down to only the best performances (excluding the crack baboon, Mary J BLige and the screaming Cindy Lauper).

I really want to get this DVD, I never saw any of the DIva's concerts..

She kicked #ss in the Elvis medly and I can't ever get enough of the orgasmic "floooows!".

 

And the way she did I'm Alive... mmm, that's how it's supposed to sound. I can't understand, in 2002 every I'm Alive performane sounded great. Nowadays they don't, and people say it's because it's hard to sing live - wasn't it back then?

 

And how didn't she look in that white dress?!

Otherwise her hair wasn't as great as it was overall in 2002, but that's not important at all. It was one of those moments which ever Céline fan should remember with pride. She was the queen.

 

Otherwise the 2002 Divas Live was a bit wierd, what did Stevie Nicks do there? And Shakira... well, no diva...

 

Not good vocally on those events? Divas '98 she ruled everyone on the Aretha challange...

Yes, yes but we don't want to name anyone particular here. Oh, and get the DVD, it's a must have since the sound quality is top notch.

 

Fred, she was able to pull the song off nicely live cuzz she simply had to sing it properly..on a TV show. Vegas she doesn't give a damn about how she sounds and considering her grave asthmatic illness she does an AMAZING job singing it in Vegas while being torn apart by the dancers and the huge stage. I will always repeat that every single of us here has to give props to her for doing her thing in Vegas. Chapeau-bas, Céline! Cuzz this woman is doing incredible things there and she still pulls off IA nicely enough - every reviewer LOVES it. haha

I also like the backstage bonus in the DVD.

Who says IA is a hard song to sing? It's like karaoke. I really enjoy this appearance too, because she looked fantastic, and I thought her performances were pretty good. Especially the Elvis song. I loved that white dress and the butterfly ring.

No, not at all. One might think this is the case but actually Jenna said it was one of the reasons Rene and Céline wonderd whether she will be able to pull off the tight schedule in Vegas. She's been suffering from asthma for quite some time, don't know for how long, though.

I loved the outfits she wore!I got the DVD's for xmas shortly after they came out.

The duo between Anastacia and Céline was really good. A great performance! However I really don't like the rest of the concert. I don't think I'd get such a DVD for only one song.

That was horrible, in my opinion, they weren't singing anymore but only screaming, You've Got A Friend was much much better in 1998. That was sung perfectly.
