it's not how much she sold from the album , it's the shipments of the album - it means that 300 000 copies of the album made it to the stores around the country...actually celine sold only around 150 000 copies of the album in canada .

95% of the countries don´t have a system to track real sales. So, to come up with a real sales number is impossible (only SousdScan in USA do that). CRIA obviously mean shipped. The same is in other countries.

And I have no idea where did you get 150.000 copies sold? It must be your imagination. I mean it could be 150.000, but it could also be 200.000 or 250.000 etc. So don't post here something you can't prove!

i know how much celine sold cause i remmember the numbers of the first few weeks...since then she sold only few more...the album faded away real fast in canada .

You say Celine's album faded away quickly in Canada. But you don't seem to be aware that Quebec is the French speaking province of Canada and that a French album sells almost exclusively in that province. So the Canadian chart as a whole doesn't reflect that. Celine's album On Ne Change Pas was still in the top 5 a few weeks ago in Quebec, which means it's still selling. And soon, with the new single Tous les Secrets from the movie Astérix, sales should go up a bit more.

 

300 000 copies of a French album (sold or shipped) in a country where 8 millions people speak French, that's amazing!! Many English records never sell that much!!

i'm well aware of it...but the canadian chart count qubec too , and her album faded away really fast there .

i mean we can now take each one of the cities around the world and say - "ohhhh celine is number 75 in the u.s. but she is number 3 in L.A." - so what??

it's the total count that's important .

Where do you get YOUR numbers from? You're not a critic, and you have no way that I know of, of keeping 100% accurate check of this. Also, the fact that the album went 3x platnium is official and proven - note the link that was posted by max 24. No offense, but I think you just have little faith in what Celine can do, and is still doing.
