Céline and animals

I was wondering, since we see Céline at pictures with animals right now...

 

Céline does a lot for good causes, I really love her for that. But you never hear her about animals. She even wears fur and not just once, but she did many times...

 

The sealhunt will start again in Canada soon, like they do every year. Céline never speaks out about this cruel thing. Do you think she could make a difference? Or doesn't she care about this? Or is she afraid to speak out because the public opinion about her in Canada may change when she does? Does she have a responsability here or not? What do you think? I am curious how you all feel about this!

I agree with you on that, for sure! I just wondered how she feels about the sealhunt in her country and things like that. You never hear a word about that from her!

Well she never talk about this subject. I only hope if she really make a statement is because she really wanted it and not because is too politically correct.

And if she don't care is fine with me I never really see an artist, singer, musician etc., like a model of life or spokesmen of any subject.

She's already doing too much sometimes. I think sometimes it even causes her a health problems.

I think she conserned but I wouldn't like her to take a part in demonstrations or such kind of events. It would look like she's into every hole, if you know what I mean. It's not hers. She shouldn't be everywhere when someone crying, beaten, hurt and etc.

 

But I'm sure if you show her the sealhunting or any animal-hunting she'd be crying like every emotional normal human being.

I prefer not hearing her protecting animals and then wearing furs, than seeing her making a TV ad to defend them, and then appear in the press with those furs around her neck...

 

It's true she can't fight against everything which goes wrong, and maybe she's not touched that much by that problem... We can't know...

 

As far as I'm concerned... I don't really like when she's on pics with her furs coats, or thing like that...

i agree with Monica. Celine's no Ghandi. she has to many things on her hands anyways. no point wasting her time standing up for animals. even if Celine does stand up for animals, it takes a lot of convicing to get people to stop buying furs and stuff.

On the photos i saw that Celine is horseriding, she even swam with dolphins. It's obvisiously clear that she loves animals! If you don't like animals you don't like horseriding and you don't want to swim with a dolphin!

 

Of course Celine is a human just like us and she cannot change the whole world! But she is such a caring person and she is helping a lot of charities. So then why not stand up for animals sometimes.

After all animals can't speak and we need to be their voice!

 

Even if she wears fur sometimes, i think if she knew the hurt and pain it causes to the animals, she would not wear it anymore! I saw images of it and it made me cry, it was so sad to see...

And i am very sad to know that the seal hunt will begin again in March!!!! How can people be so cruel to beat baby seals to death!!!!! And take off their skin, sometimes they're still alive so they can feel everything!

That's why i will never wear REAL FUR!!!

Ah come ooooon, there are other clothes in stores to stay warm, fur should be on animals and not on us! I dont think it looks beautiful anyway. Most famous people wear it because they think it looks classy, but it makes me sick!

Not that I have anything against animals. I actually love them a lot (except snakes ). But I don't think it's wrong for people to wear fur coats and what not. Just because you have things like these, doesn't mean you hate animals. And if you're not gonna buy a fur coat cuz ya think it's harming animals, you might as well not eat chicken.

I don't make too much fuss about this either. I don't wear fur but it doesn't really bother me, it's the least of my worries and I don't think someone is a better person for not using it.

Anyways, Celine is not a better or worse person for the fur thing and for supporting animals. She just doesn't care or doesn't think of it or whatever, it's her choice.

I agree Celine does a lot for everyone anyway. I guess you support what is closest to your heart and i guess people are what are closest to her heart more than animals. She can't support everyone on this world and i'm sure that she'd like to. We can't tell her what to support so we should just let her be. I don't love her any less whether she supports animals or not. hey ppl, well i dont know what to say to be honest.. i mean, i love celine so so so much, but i hate the fact that she wears furs, and yes they are real furs. it is a very cruel thing to kill animals and use their skins and furs for clothing and such. however, every person has their own opinions abt everything. celine has admitted to liking wearing fur coats, because she likes that fashion. some ppl may think that it's wrong, but some ppl think that it's ok. i personally belong in that first category. i dont agree to ppl wearing furs, or hunting animals.. but still, u cant tell someone what to do, what to say or even what to wear, because that is downright weird. from what i've heard, celine has had a cat in the late 80s / early 90s, and she wants to get a dog now for Rene Charles. that denotes that she likes animals and pets. but it's a whole different thing to wear furs. i know i keep making the same point over and over again but whatever. if celine wants to wear fur coats, so be it. i dont agree with it, but it's her life, her style, her fashion preferences.

 

i also agree to ppl who have sent messages regarding this topic, that celine is already committed to various fundraising organisations, that she cant do something for everything single thing that goes wrong in this world. she can't bring world peace, she can't ban terrorism.. after all she's just another human being, just like the rest of us. she is a very sensitive person; we all saw that on the CNN video for the Hurricane Katrina situation. and i also agree to the fact that i dont want to see celine doing demonstrations and stuff like that for anything, no matter if it's for animal rights, human rights, or whatever. on the other hand, i would like to see her do something abt animal rights, because hunting has condemned various species, such as tigers and elephants; species that are so close to extinction. it is unfair to kill animals, i agree to that. i cry when i see a dead cat or dog on the road, that has been run over. but celine has her own opinions abt stuff. and quite frankly, how is shegonna find the time to solve another problem of the world? she's already doing everything she can. plus, she has her family to look after, nevermind about her career.

 

closing, if she wants to do something abt animal rights, she will. but i dont see that happening, because she'd look like a fool to stick up for animal rights, when she has worn fur coats over the years.

 

celine has her own life and her own problems to tend to. she can't do everything for everyone. she's only a human being.

Well, Paul McCartney and his wife are hitting the seal hunt very hard right now, and the dumbass Newfoundland Premier made a bunch of the stupidest, empty points I've ever heard...so at least Paul is on it and he acceptable because he follows a very reverent life, being vegetarian and not wearing any animal products.

 

Celine would be creamed if she stood up for the seal hunt or animal rights. She would be called a hypocrite and an idiot because of all the furs she wears, and rightly so. She'd have to change her ways before she could be taken seriously.

 

A lot of people don't put their pets on the same plane as faceless animals somewhere in another country. They don't equate their own pet as being the same and as worthy of life as a mink being skinned alive. People have a heirarchy about these things...look at hunters who have dogs. One is better than another, but if someone threatened to make a coat out of their cat, I'm sure they would start to think about it another way! Celine just doesn't think about it that way yet.
