Forthe 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany those rights have been acquired bySyco/SonyBMG. Recognising the fantastic promotion opportunities that areavailable for the "Official Song" during this years tournament (June 9th -July 9th) multi-million selling Syco artists Il Divo have been invited toperform the beautiful, uplifting ballad "Time Of Our Lives", written by BMGMusic song writer Jorgen Elofsson and produced by Steve Mac. "Time of Our Lives" will be premiered by Il Divo at The Opening Ceremonyin Munich on June 9th, which is expected to attract a worldwide TV audience inexcess of 1,000,000,000 people (ONE BILLION). The Official Music programme of the 2006 FIFA World Cup also features the"Official Album" to be released in May 2006, on which the Official Song willbe available exclusively until November 2006. To avoid the pitfalls inherentin past football-themed Official Albums, Syco has created a superstarcompilation Album titled "VOICES", designed to be marketed right through tothe end of 2006 and then brought back again and again in the future as a TV-driven brand, with the same potential that Sony's "VH1-DIVAS" proved tohave in the 1990's. "VOICES" will be launched in late May off the back of the Official Songof 2006 FIFA World Cup, "The Time of Our Lives" performed by Il Divo and willfeature hit songs from superstar artists such as Il Divo, Mariah Carey,Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Eros Ramazzotti, Julio Iglesias, Whitney Houston,Anastacia, Shakira and many many more.
