Yangedd Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 Just wondering really. I know that when I had a cancer scare that her music helped me an awful lot. Sure, I was terribly scared and emotional, and the songs made me really cry a lot, but they also gave me hope when I was really down and depressed about everything. I remember the day I told my mother that I'd found the lump (I'd already found it and went to the Doctor behind her back to get checked out and he sent me for test the next day and that's when I told her) and we went to the city to the hospital for my scan and I was terrified all the way up there, but I had my CD-man with me and I listened to Celine all the way up. I don't know how I managed not to cry my eyes out, but they did the scan and the lump was not cancer, but a cisq that wasn't even dangerous. I was so happy that I cried. But Celine really helped me through it all. Her music gave me hope and courage to face what might have been. Thank you Celine Quote http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!
Mozinha Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 I wouldn't ever finish telling stories about Celine's music in my life. Celine's music has been in my life since I was 5 years old. I grew up with Celine, her music became part of me, being her fan is not a choice anymore, is just who I am. She has been there always for everything, from first kiss to first day in college, from eating disorders to a trip to Vegas, from my father's death to my own health troubles and so and so and so on. Never in my life Celine's music failed on me or disappointed me or wasn't there for me when I needed. Of course it doen't heal illness, doesn't bring people from the death, doesn't make my life change. But it can heal the soul, brings confort, brings happiness and makes us forget for a while all our troubles... and helps finding a way out. Not the mention that not only her music but her story of hard work and determination to follow her dreams has been the most inspiring thing in my life. She has been my role model and she has made the whole difference. I'm very thankful for that. Yangedd Posted January 29, 2006 Author Posted January 29, 2006 I love what you just said. Her music can't help death or even illness, but it can give us all the strength to get through those terrible things. george Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 it's a huge story with what you've brought up!!!!!Celine has helped me tremendously in difficult and personal times....It is the soothing voice and messages that she passes through with her songs.....She touches my innest and most intimate feelings and I have associated her music with bad and difficult periods in my life!!!!!!She has made me believe in dreams and to the fact that they come true ,she has learnt to me not to give up easily and always fight as much as I can and she has made me to learn to surpass obstacles!!!!!Also she made me realise that if I don't believe in myself nothing will happen.....Isn't all this enough?I think she has done soooooooooooooooooooo much for me through her music!!!!!!and her incredible voice!!!!!!!! 1Celine12 Posted January 29, 2006 Posted January 29, 2006 (edited) My journey all started in 1992 at the tender age of 10: I tried to kill myself and my parents were there for me. Then, 11 years later, I listened to her song "TTWII" and that helped me realize that I shouldn't try to end my life just because I think no one loves me. I know that Céline loves me without even knowing me or knowing the fact that she loves me. I then sent her a letter to Vegas in 2004 telling her about my ordeal and the team sent me a letter in 2005 saying that Céline sends her "thoughts and prayers." Also, I recieved a postcard of the french album cover for comfort and strength and I look at it every time I need comfort and strength. What can I do to repay her for all that she has done? I know that I am not the greatest singer in the world, but I was thinking of making her a cd of me singing karoke version of my theme song. Sound like a good idea? VanMerlin Posted January 30, 2006 Posted January 30, 2006 Go for it, 1Celine12, with your CD idea. If you've got the guts, I'm sure it would be thoughtful. I've often thought that it would be neat to make a CD with a little message saying, "I thought you might like to be sung to for once instead of always being the one to give it away." But that being said, I guess I'm an outcast in this thread when I say, "nope, she's never helped me through a bad time and she never will. No one can." Quote

I mean, she makes records and sings to us, so I thought it would be a nice idea to sing to her for once. What do you think I should say in the letter? Quote
AbbysAunt36 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 When my niece was born she had some things wrong with her heart and at 4 months of age had to have open heart surgery. My faith in God along with Celine and her music helped me so much in that time. I remember going to visit abby in children's hospital every day that I could and I'd take along my cd walkman and earphones and the songs " Im Alive" and " A New Day" were the ones I would play most because they were songs of inspiration and kept my hope going. Today Abby is a beautiful healthy happy 3 year old thanks to the Lord's hand upon her and thanks to Celine for bringing us the music that touches each situation in our lives. angel_christ Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 When I was 8, I used to watch "My Heart Will Go On" music video with my dad, it was shown on TV very often . And we was like "she could sing so good!," But 3 years ago, my dad had a heart attack and he died. I went very sad. But when I became a Celine Fan and listen to My Heart Will Go On again. I can feel that my dad is always with me, everywhere I go. Quote http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j147/angel_christ/TakingChancesSiggy.jpg Click Below to visitAngel Christ's deviantART Gallery
Christelle95 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 (edited) Céline is in my life in the good and bad moments. When my grand father died(he committed suicide and I found him died ) she and my familly support had help me to alleviate my sorrow, now it more easy to speak about my grand father. With her songs Céline go in our hearts and in our lifes. When I have the blues I listen Céline's songs and sometimes I cry. I am very emotive and it is rare that I do not cry when I listen or when I Céline sees: that relieves me Céline I love you forever Edited February 1, 2006 by cadet95290 Quote

adi dion Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 well, in my most difficult time, I didn't know Celine... it was 6 years ago, when i was in the 6th grade, i had a pneumonia and i was in the hospital i don't know how long... my mom says that it was something like a week, but i thought it was something like a month... every two days the doctors had to change my infusion (i think it's the correct word lol) and i coulan't take it anymore.... i was really exhausted and i just lay in the bed every day... but i'm here today and only in the last year i realised how bad my condition was.. i could have died, and i feel that i didn't die so that i can know Celine... and really, i realised this only in the last year... and now, whatever happens to me, i know that Celine's music is with me- when i'm angry or sad and of course when i'm happy, i always listen to Celine and it makes me feel better now that i know Celine, she will always be with me i'm thankful for this every day... Yentl Anchel Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Céline and het music helped me and in fact still helps me going trough hard times in live. The song Think Twice holds a special place in my heart, and every time Céline sings it live at a concert it feels so great like she is singing it for me and telling me you don't give up and don't give in we can make it trough the storm I'll be right there when you need me! rogerionovais Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Celine's music always been a part of my life. through my hard times and good times as well, I've always been listening to her music. in these days, I basically listen to her and that's it. lol. everything else, doesn't "say" nothing to me. love her, always. 1Celine12 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 That's another reason I listen to her and her alone. When I listen to other artists I think, I like these people, but Céline does it for me. She's the best in the world. No other artist compares to her and never will. Quote
Yangedd Posted February 4, 2006 Author Posted February 4, 2006 I used to listen to Think Twice over and over again a few years ago after I said goodbye to a very special person. Celine also got me through that. It was tough, and I was in bits, but she guided me through it with that song. Yangedd Posted February 4, 2006 Author Posted February 4, 2006 She also helped me when my beloved dog Spot died. I was totally gutted and depressed. I listened to "Le Memoire D'Abraham" over and over. I used to be crying my eyes out at the song, but it did help me in the end. Now when I listen to it I think of him and a smile crosses my face! charmedceline Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Céline and her music helped me a lot. She is such a nice, loving person who makes me smile and laugh also in bad times. In 1995 my parents got divorced. And this was the first time I heard Céline singing in french.Pour que tu m'aimes encore and Think twice helped me through that difficult time. Then in 1999 a friend of mine thought that she would never find her love.It was such a great feeling when I send her a message and let her listen to That's the way it is. it was so overwhelming. we both hugged and cried together. My parents got divorced in 1997 and I had a tape of a live version of Because You Loved My and on the other side it had All By Myself, but I didn't have the tape for long. I didn't like the singer at the time, until 99. The point is, I listened to All By Myself the day my parents divorced in 97 and found the song to be comforting. So, I know your pain.
