1Celine12 Posted January 27, 2006 at 06:56 PM Posted January 27, 2006 at 06:56 PM Here's my song called "Larry King." You probably will think it's corny. "Larry King"By Dana "ACE" Covert Verse 1: I turned on my tvAnd what did I see?I saw a man and a woman talkingWhat did they talk about? They talked about hurricane KatrinaWho was this man and woman? This man and this woman was Larry King and Céline Dion Verse 2: Larry asked Céline about her thoughts on the hurricane in the gulf coastCéline told Larry that she has been there and that this town means something to herLarry then asked Céline how she told her young sonCéline said he knows and I tell him they will be fineCéline says that her $1 million dollar check won't be worth anything Chorus: Your check will do wondersJust give it timeIt will give people moneys to live and surviveThat's what Larry King said to Céline Verse 3: Céline says she comes to the show to sing is out of respect for the peopleThey give her courage to singShe says that she can barely sing, but does it anywayShe has had this bottled up inside her for a week and is glad to finally tell someone who will listenCéline finally sings an accapella version of "The Prayer" to close out the speech Chorus Copyright 1/27/06 Tell me HONESTLY what you think. She was trying to make a point. There are faster ways of getting people out of those kinds of situations, and you know it. That's why I didn't add that part. I think my song is quite good the way I have it. Edited January 29, 2006 at 11:47 PM by 1Celine12 Quote

I love that part. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know I did ask for an honest opinion, but there are others here that didn't think that the Céline Kayak comment of the interview was that funny either. I LOVE my song the way it is. Could someone come up with a rythm to this song? I have been raking my brain since I wrote this song and nothing seems to come to mind. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LVCeline Posted February 1, 2006 at 08:08 AM Posted February 1, 2006 at 08:08 AM If you want honest, here it is...you would probably be laughed out of anyplace you sang this. You're basically retelling what happened during that interview, I can't see how it's a song at all. Dude, I'm sorry but I'm not a fan of your writing. That doesn't mean you should quit though, because if you enjoy doing it, and it means something to you, that's all the matters, and I'm sure there's someone who would actually listen to this "song." I would be REAAAAALLY curious to hear this set to music, though. Quote

I was also thinking about an upbeat tempo. for the song. Maybe think of "IDAN." Quote

VanMerlin Posted March 31, 2006 at 01:28 AM Posted March 31, 2006 at 01:28 AM I don't think it could be sung. It would have to be more of a rap song. "Yo, yo, man, I turned on the Tv and what did I see,Yeah, peep this, and man and woman talking..." No, really, I'm serious. It doesn't have a rhythm and doesn't rhyme, so it would have to be spoken. Just one thing, Dana, try this...be more symbolic with your lyrics. Don't tell it exactly how it was, but try to express the feeling, emotions, and meanings of the moment. Try to write a song that isn't like a literal essay or account of a moment, but something based on that moment. Try it and see what happens. Quote
