By STEPHANIE MURPHY, Daily News Business and Real Estate Writer Sunday, January 15, 2006 Leibowitz Realty Group, which has an office in Palm Beach, represented the buyer of singer Celine Dion's 3-acre-plus waterfront parcel at The Bear's Club, Jack Nicklaus' gated golf community in Jupiter. The $4.4 million deal closed Wednesday, and sales associate Marcie Kipper represented the unnamed out-of-state buyer. Kipper said he plans to build a home to live in with more than 10,000 square feet. The Canadian-born pop diva had paid $3.5 million for the acreage three years ago. At one time, she planned to build a new estate home for her family, citing the "exceptional" privacy and security in the 401-acre enclave on Donald Ross Road. Her intent was to move to The Bear's Club at the conclusion of her $100 million, three-year contract to perform at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. However, according to Martin County property records, Dion paid $12.5 million for an oceanfront home on Jupiter Island in June. Before buying land at The Bear's Club, Dion and her manager-husband, Rene Angelil, owned a 15,000-square-foot home at Admirals Cove in Jupiter. Leibowitz Realty Group is a family-owned firm that opened a branch office at 210 Brazilian Ave. in November 2003. The company was founded 17 years ago in Palm Beach Gardens. The principals participated in on-site sales of new homes at Frenchman's Creek. Céline and René wanted to build a new house there after Vegas... But maybe they realized it's too much work and stress and a new house came up for sale and probably decided to buy that house instead of building a new one... so they sold the land they had bought three years ago. And many years ago, they had a house built in Jupiter also but they sold that one just before they moved to Vegas. And of course they still have their big house north of Montreal, Canada, a place they can go to when they spend time back home with their families... I think it's a smart move for Celine to buy something already built and nice, instead of stressing over building a new house, decorating it while still in Vegas and planning for a second child!! Too much stress for someone who wants to get pregnant again... Cheers! Quote

Celine said many times it's in that house from Mirage that the entire family spends Christmas. Of course, the golf course doesn't only belong to them, so the house might be shared too....
