i don't own any of her albums, but i've heard a couple of tracks from Heavy Rotation and downloaded some of them, and i must say i kinda liked the direction she took on that album. it's a pretty decent effort. i might buy it this week.

i downloaded You'll Be Fine, Heavy Rotation, Same Song, The Way I See It, I Can Feel You and Defeated. i have no idea if these are either the weaker songs or the stronger songs off the album. i still have to listen to the album in its entirety. but so far i'm loving the tracks i have downloaded. and i think the cover looks amazing.

these are the strongest songs of the album imo. but you will also like All fall down, I call it love and Same song.

 

Never gonna love again is the worst track she's ever done in my opinion But thats personal I guess. U may like it.

Tell me what u think once you've heard the rest.

^ absolutely. but i'm not gonna lie, i used to really hate her.

 

anyways I'm Outta Love was quite popular here in our country when it came out (and thought it was the only good song she has released). it was given a massive radio airplay. but after the Not That Kind album, i've lost touch of her and her popularity has declined here. but i'm happy i'm giving an Anastacia album a listen for the first time.

i'm glad as well. I love her 3rd album which is titled "Anastacia". Cant wait to hear what you think of it.

^ it's because her voice doesn't match her looks. i mean, look at her. she's gorgeous, but her voice is the kind of what you would expect to come out from someone like Aretha or Chaka Khan. and i think her performance with Celine way back was a total train wreck LOL and i'm not into the kind of music she's been creating since she came out (she's a pop/dance/soul singer right?). and if you're gonna back-read this thread, you'll find my first post here and i think i said "i hate her. she's annoying. sorry..." and you even replied "it's ok... every people have different taste in music so there's no need to be sorry..." or something to that effect.

The concert was great! She is so sweet.

She did a very good show, she's funny, the band was awesome. I didn't notice she had been away for a few years.

All the presents she got on the stage, the part of 'We are fanily'

Oohh and the part she was so emotional ... I think everyone would climb up the stage to give her a hug!

Do you know what happened to her? Seemed she couldn't got out of it ...

 

I have made some nice photo's (about 140, haha) and made 3 video's. They look very well, too ... but the sound is very bad. Never had problems with that, but now you just can't hear the song :-(

 

And Suus, it was nice to meet you! Did you have a nice evening? Have fun in Amsterdam tonight!

Too bad about the technical difficulties though. Of course they had to happen during my favourite song

 

How come she was so emotional? Did that song have a special meaning to her? I felt so sad seeing her like that, she seemed to have a difficult time

Well spoken That little woman (especially with her pink 'wooden shoes') with the big voice!

Did you guys have some problems with the sound as well? I heard a rustle all the time and sometimes I couldn't understand what Ana told between the songs...

 

Before 'Defeated' she already told this song was meaning a lot to her at the moment. Maybe that was is, maybe the song remembered her on something?

The sound was ok to me untill "Paid my Dues" where the microphone went silent during that "power note". And at certain points the music was a bit too loud compared to the voices, but that could've been me. I often have that feeling at concerts

Later on she seemed to have some trouble with her earpiece too..

 

But apart from that, a great concert

how cool was the Antwerp show ?? we got her some pressies too. we threw a big green plastic duck on stage (dutchie duck) and she put it on her seat at the beginning of cowboys and kisses, at the end of the song when she came down again to do her crazy dance routine she took the duck and danced with it that was so funny

 

also we gave her pink fluffy clogs (like slippers) which had a windmill and a tulip on them. she put them on and wore them all the way during you'll be fine OMFG. i couldnt believe it

the woman is nuts. i loved all the chit chats in between the songs and bless her little soul for crying a few times.

i guess seeing so many familiar faces and getting a great welcome got her all emotional during: defeated, you'll never be alone and you'll be fine. she really lost it during you'll be fine and had to stop singing even, the crowd helped her out and started singing for her

amsterdam was something else. vocally a lot better than antwerp. she hit the hight notes without any problems and did lots of crazy notes and improv. very cool.

there was this guy who had come all the way from florida so see her and she jumped off stage, climbed on the front fence and had her pic taken with him the security had to push her back on stage that was so sweet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wfa8Us872QE (not my video)

the guy had asked her why she isnt performing in america, she gave him the best answer ever: Amsterdam has pri-o-rity over A-meri-ca !! they found me first we sure did. she also said she loved amsterdam and everything about it and she was really happy we were all there to support her.

another funny story she asked us what the dutch word was for Hello. We all shouted: Hallo. she was like oh ok i can do that: Hallooooooo, in a funny accent. then she kneeled down and asked if there was another word we used. Kim shouted: Hoi.

she jumped up and was like oh that a funny word. i like that. Hoooooooooooooooooooi. then she started talking in new york slang using thr hoi word so funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeUAcvyHIrM (not my video)

 

and the best thing was when we discovered that our green duck from antwerp was still there on stage next to the drum set he's going on tour with her so it seems

Dusseldorf was great !! we had good seats on the left of the stage. vocally she was in really good shape. unfortunately they didnt allow us to walk up front so we all had to stay in our seats. thank god we were able to stand up. here are some pics:
