Celine just released ONCP in October. wouldnt it be a rush if she has another album out in November? and she would have to do interviews and tours to promote her album during her Dec holiday! that aint fair to her...

Sorry, but I don't understand. Céline has never left the top of the charts. ANDHC was #1, OH was #2, ANDLILV was #10 and Miracle was #4 in USA. Do you really think she left the top of the charts? And if Sony wanted to bring Céline on the top supported by someone else, they wouldn't have choose a breakthrought group. In USA Il Divo are not such a topseller, their first album is 1x Platinum and the Christmas album is Gold. They would have choose a multi-platinum artist like Usher, not Il Divo.

celine is selling less and less - yeahh her latest albums sold many copies the first few weeks but faded sooooo fast...that's because there r no RADIO HITS...in order for an album to be a success in the long run - radio stations have to play the songs from the album . radio stations dont care about celine anymore...the only format that still play her song is AC and even they gave up and all her lastest singles flopped there . now can u blame the radio stations ?? they dont even know about the new songs cause sony couldnt care to promote it and when they know about it people r just not asking for the songs - and can u blame the people for not caring of songs like ONE HEART or IBIY??

First you said these songs are not good.. then you complaint cos radios don't play her. I 've seen you live in the US: I think you sould know what songs are successfull on radios. If Céline want to be broadcasted on radios she sould do craper music than now.

According to For Keeps, Céline and her staff didn't expect anything from Miracle. She just made it 'cause she wanted to do it. She was even surprised that radio stations played songs from it. And BTW she is the queen of the AC radio stations. Céline is the artist who has "the most AC entries of this decade as well as the last", according to Billboard. This year AC radio stations decided to play DWMF even if it was not a single from Vandross' tribute album. Her sales correspond to the promotion she does for an album. I can't see any flop. The last album promoted properly worldwide was ANDHC, and it had great great results. Plus, you have to add that Céline doesn't care about sales, at all.

if IBIY will be the first single from celine album it will be just another proff of how careless sony , rene and even celine are...

instead of taking their time in order to record some good songs , it's always on the run...it seems like noone even think there about what it will do to her reputation , or her record sales . and it's not like we can take comfort with the fact that it's not gonna be a commercial success but atleast it's top quality - it's not! . this song is so boring . i still hope it wont be the first single...maybe just a song in the album tho i fear it's not the case .

When we listen to you, we have the impression you don't like Celine music. So perhaps you may find another artist forum, because obviously Celine's great songs like IBIY seem boring to you ! Just be lucid: Celine music is not your kind of music!

I also believe they will put the English version of IBIY on her new English album and make it it's lead single..

 

It would coincide well.. Il Divo's album will be released at the end of this month in the US and Celine's (possibly) in March.. But it would coincide better if Il Divo will release one of their own songs first as the lead single and IBIY as the 2nd one. Radio release could be in February, same for the music video and perhaps a retail single early March..

 

And..Il Divo will help Celine get more sales in Europe & the rest of the world, and Celine will help Il Divo get off in the US.. the best of both worlds..

 

We'll find out soon..

I'm beginning to think that I am the only one here on the forum thinking that it is unlikely (albeit possible nonthelessbutstillofcourse) that Céline will release an English CD this spring. There are simply not enough hints for this.

 

Yet I am more than sure she will release a CD (French or English) next autumn. Here a French release is rather more probable.

she is big in the u.k where celine's reputation is in all time low...il divo r also well known across europ - maybe they want to concentrate in europ for this release .

 

BTW sophie said some time ago that celine is her favourite singer so it wont be such a suprise .

The rumour screams fake! LOL Would love to hear it happen, tho. Sophie's vocals would be a nice addition in a song. Besides it doesn't tell anything about CELINE, it's about Sophie's album not Céline's.

 

As for the collab between Celine & Sophie, I asked my friend how on earth something like this can work, he simply said that it will all make sense when I hear it. Supposedly it's a really creative track, Sophie has all of the main vocal parts though.
