Tegoroczna północnoamerykańska trasa koncertowa The Rolling Stones przyniosła z samej sprzedaży biletów przychód w wysokości 162 milionów dolarów. Tym samym Mick Jagger i koledzy pobili 11-letni rekord należący do nich samych. "Stary" rekord, który "Stonesi" ustanowili w 1994 roku, wynosił "jedynie" 121 milionów dolarów zarobionych na sprzedaży biletów. W 2005 roku The Rolling Stones promowali w Ameryce Północnej ostatni album "A Bigger Bang". 42 występy legendarnego zespołu oglądało 1,2 miliona osób. Na drugim miejscu znaleźli się U2. Bilety na koncerty Irlandczyków były tańsze. Dlatego choć zagrali w Stanach Zjednoczonych i Kanadzie aż 78 koncertów, sprzedaż biletów przyniosła przychód w wysokości 140 milionów dolarów. Na kolejnych pozycjach znaleźli się Celine Dion, której występy "do kotleta" w hotelu Caesars Palace w Las Vegas zarobiły na biletach ponad 81 milionów dolarów. Piosenkarka wystąpiła w 2005 roku aż 155 razy. Pierwszą piątkę zamykają Paul McCartney i grupa Eagles (odpowiednio 77,3 i 76,8 milionów dolarów). Warto dodać, że poza wydanym jeszcze w 2004 roku albumem U2 "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb", pozostali wykonawcy nie mogli pochwalić się wydaniem nowej płyty (Eagles nie uczynili tego od wielu lat) lub ich nowe propozycje były komercyjnymi wpadkami (The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney).
