Shonah Posted January 3, 2006 at 10:37 PM Posted January 3, 2006 at 10:37 PM It's awful. Even the Hurricane Katrina was awful but i guess people that don't stay near the place where something like this happens don't really know the extent of the damage, pain and suffering, i mean we see what happens on t.v and we say, "Oh, that's terrible. God bless them" not really knowing the damage and feeling sympathy for those people but few months down the line we go on with our lives and become oblivous to the damage, we go back to our usual living while there are still people suffering out there from this hurricane. Sorry but that's the way i feel i'm willing to admit i was one of those people not knowing the exact extent of the damage until i watched Oprah yesterday and today, "Katrina catastrophe", i bawled my eyes out because i did not realise the extent of the damage done to the people in New Orleans, i guess i was oblivous to it, but now i realise and it pains me to see it. angel_christ Posted January 12, 2006 at 09:07 AM Posted January 12, 2006 at 09:07 AM I'm Thai. I must admit that the Earth-Science lesson here tell us about the relation between tsunami and earthquake. But they didn't tell us about how it happens and what's the alarm of tsunami! And what about the uneducated people in the south? It's very lucky that our Tilly Smith knows about it and shout for people at the beach to run away. Thanks Tilly! I mean that I'm glad that you were able to see what happened in the gulf coast. It also pains me to see it as well. Did you see the video of Céline on the Larry King show ranting about the lack of assistance from the federal government of the USA? I LOVED it. Céline said exactly what a lot of her fans wanted to say. Quote
