max24 Posted December 22, 2005 at 11:20 AM Posted December 22, 2005 at 11:20 AM I think there won't be more singles from On ne change pas. It's about time and there are only rumors. What are they waitning for? Some sources say it will be Tous les secrets, some I believe in you. But what do we get in result? Nothing...Celine has recorded Tous les secrets for Hit Machine and I believe in you for Vivement Dimanche for some reasons..I hope. Do you know anything sure about forthcoming singles? Quote
thevoice Posted December 22, 2005 at 11:41 AM Posted December 22, 2005 at 11:41 AM yes . mark my words - as always with sony - they r going to release the next single few weeks AFTER those TV shows will air...that way they would make sure celine wont sell too much they always release the wrong songs in the wrong time so what made u think this time it's gonna be diffrent? And the album is selling well in France and Quebec. That's all what counts. Besides Céline won't be bothered to shoot a video for it anyway. She's out on vacation enjoying her family now. Koolan Posted December 25, 2005 at 06:32 AM Posted December 25, 2005 at 06:32 AM You can bet your bottom dollar there's gonna be more singles from oncp. "I Believe In You" is possibly the next one in the US. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. Click here to go to the Amazon homepage.
Shonah Posted December 25, 2005 at 06:47 AM Posted December 25, 2005 at 06:47 AM i agree with Koolan i think that I believe in you is going to be the next single. We don't even get cd singles of Celine anymore here. Quote http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g21/celinerific2/NewYear07-Sig.jpg

Jeanine Posted December 26, 2005 at 03:46 PM Posted December 26, 2005 at 03:46 PM (edited) That's the million dollar question, where is René and where are the people that made Celine a star? That is why I just don't understand why this has happened! How can they just give up on her or throw in the towl like this?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. That's the question that needs an answer: Where are the people who have made Céline a star? Why don't they even look at her career anymore?? Céline has still a great group of fans standing beside her, but the people she loved to work with, are (slowly) stepping beside; leaving her alone... E.g. "On Ne Change Pas" hardly no promotion for it 'round the world.. Just a few playbacks recorded when Céline had to rest from her Vegas-show, so she wasn't int he best shape. Most of the recordings were playback. And hardly non of them showed in non-Frenchspeaking-countries... The single (the only single) "Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas" wasn't even released everywhere, in lots of countries, even in Europe, it was hard to get the cd...What are they doing??? No a single isn't selling much if you don't do any promotion (the reason for not releasing the single in the Netherlands was that it wouldn't selle that much). But with a good promotion the cd would have sold many more copies. Especialle 'cause everyone has once heard an old French song from Céline... People get interested in what she has done more, although they don't understand a word of what she's singing! So I think the only one who can answer these questions is Sony Music, let's hope the see the misstakes they made, but in that I haven't got much hope... firebird Posted December 26, 2005 at 05:59 PM Posted December 26, 2005 at 05:59 PM When will they show Hit Machine with Tous Les Secrets? On Ne Change Pas is really doing great on the charts, they must make another single with a video and promote it. I don't know where the problem is for Céline to go to shows like Oprah or Larry King or Jay Leno and sing I Believe In You or Tous Les Secrets. I mean, she can even playback it, if she worries about her voice. It's really no big deal. E.g. "On Ne Change Pas" hardly no promotion for it 'round the world.. Just a few playbacks recorded when Céline had to rest from her Vegas-show, so she wasn't int he best shape. Most of the recordings were playback. And hardly non of them showed in non-Frenchspeaking-countries...That's logical. It's a French album, so they promote it in Francophone countries, and she did a lot of live singing for promotion : Star Academie in France and Quebec, Ecole des Fans, 500 Choristes, Symphonique Show ... Bellamy Posted December 26, 2005 at 06:11 PM Posted December 26, 2005 at 06:11 PM You've said it, why promo French album in USA? it won't sell anyway. and I don't think Oprah or Larry King would wlike Celine to sing a French song, but maybe Jay Leno will. Maybe IBIY English version with Il Divo in America. But it won't make ONCP sell much more anyway. I think it's more like a promo for Il Divo not for Celine. firebird Posted December 26, 2005 at 06:52 PM Posted December 26, 2005 at 06:52 PM Yes. Of course I Believe In You and it's maybe not promotion for the album but for Céline because people will see her on TV and get interested again and maybe it can help the single if they release it and Il Divo's album as well. At least Céline would be on TV and that's important Quote

firebird Posted December 26, 2005 at 09:47 PM Posted December 26, 2005 at 09:47 PM I'm falling in love with some of her older songs all over again! I love the remasters! A MUST have! Sony loses again! Yes! I love listening to the second CD of On Ne Change Pas. Those songs are really great, and I am listening to those old albums of her that I have on my HDD quite a lot lately. Too bad they always put the same old songs like D'amour ou d'amitié or Mon ami m'a quittée on those compilations. I mean she has recorded about a hundred songs and they always have the same twenty songs thirty different compilations that were released over the years. That's what I call a rip-off. Quote
