Did You Know...?

Just thought it'd be good to do a topic on stuff people know about that other people might not know of...

Here's my first one...

Did you know that there are 2 versions "I Know What Love Is", the original version was produced by Peer Astrom a few years ago but it was decided not to release it due to "political reasons" (the specific reason is not known)... Therefore when "One Heart" came out they got Ric Wake to re-produce the track using the vocals from Peer Astrom version... this is a fact!, and no I don't have it sorry!

cool can we get the unreleased version anywhere

Well, Peer would have it but he can't release it... and the Label would have it... oh and the recording studio would have it on their backup drive, but again they wouldn't be allowed to release it.

Why the hell wouldn't they!? :xmas_dry: Oh well....

Nevertheless, it's some petty interesting news!! :xmas_w00t:

Now that's certainly something that i haven't heard. So i guess the answer to the topic, for me, would be no, i did not know that. Thanks though. I wish we could get it to hear it to see if it did sound a lot different.

Ok here goes another one:

Did you know that "Goodbye's (The saddest word) Radio version" is not only edited but it has new vocals (or singing variation) that don't appear on the album version.

Yes that right!, The CD Single was issued with Radio Edit version, but usually Radio Edits are edited versions of the song, however in this case Celine sings the end of the song differently!!

and Did you know that there is actually 3 versions of the song?, The Album Version, The Radio Edit and then another version of the Radio Edit which has a great Introduction to it!

Here's another one, some people already know this but I'll bet not everyone!

Did you know that there is a Promotional Digipak CD with 4 tracks on it which was released to promote Celines "Celine Dion" album, but the thing that makes it such a rarity is that it has an Extended Version of "Nothing Broken But My Heart" on it which is actually longer than the album version itself, almost 7 minutes long!!!?

I think I still have them on my other PC... I have two of em off the CD's, I guess you already have the album version, so I'll try to upload the Radio Edit and the other edit version... actually I think the normal Radio Edit is available on celinemaniacs.com

Did you also know that Peer Astrom also remixed another "Club Mix" of "Sorry For Love" which was supposed to be released on the Single, but Sony decided not to release a Single of the song so the Club Mix never got released!?

Did you know that there is a Full version of "The Magic Of Christmas Day" that doesn't fade out and actually has an ending to it?, This can be heard on the opening sequence to "A Rosie Christmas TV Special"!!! and there is also a version of "I Drove All Night" that too has a proper ending and not a faded one!

Oh, my beloved Peer. Poor him, he produced so much material for Céline that will never be released. Damn, Sony! Peer is a genius, please, release everything he does!

Did you know that... I love Peer's productions? :mdr:

Yes, "Slow Down The World", written by Guy Roche and Shelly Peiken. I hope Sony won't be so stupid to not release it!

We might kiss when we are alone... When nobody's watching... We might take it home... We might make out... When nobody's there... It's not that we're scared... It's just that it's delicate... We might live like never before... When there's nothing to give... Well how can we ask for more... We might make love in some sacred place... The look on your face is delicate

also Did you know that there is a "Movie Version" of "Because You Loved" me that has a musical Introduction and a few different musical arrangements in it?

Wow.

These are all amazing facts.

I know about the "Because You Loved Me" movie version. In fact I only just uploaded it to the multimedia section a few days ago, so anyone wanting to hear it can download it from there.

About "Goodbye's The Saddest Word". I have the single and I love the different singing. Celine sang this version at World Concert Day.

Thank you for those facts. They were very interesting to read.
