Yangedd Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 (edited) Anyone else think the music from this song sounds really "Irish" ??? I love it and have only heard it since I bought "On Na Change Pas". What year is this song from and does it appear on any other albums?? Thanks Edited December 17, 2005 by Yangedd Quote http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!

Yangedd Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 Thanks. I love it. It's so poppy and Irish/French at the same time. I must try and get 1F4T again...I bought it last Christmas but my bag was stolen that day in the city. I'm gonna buy the album again now that I know this song is on it. Great Vocals too Quote http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!

Mozinha Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Well, if I'm not mistaken, I read or heard Celine saying, that this song comes from an idea she had when she heard Goldman's song "Tournent les violons" which has some irish influences and sounds a lot like Je liu dirai. Celine loved the song, it made her want to dance and she asked goldman to write her in the same style. It's one of my favourites in that album. aire505 Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 It does go along the Tournent les violons style a lot in fact...Goldman is an exceptional songwriter after all:) Quote

thevoice Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 the first thing i thought while hearing that song was "cool an irish song!!"i love irish music...so beautiful...and i really like this song but as always sony ruined everything and didnt promote it right Quote
Ronny83 Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I love "Je Lui Dirai", it is one the most joyful Céline's french songs. And I have to say that I do love "Tournent Les Violons", too. Goldman is a genius! Quote The Celine Dion Italian fanbase - CelineDionItalia.com
Mozinha Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I love "Tournent les violons too" and the video too.Je lui dirai is such a happy song. VanMerlin Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 The only thing that makes it Irish is the tin whistles, but it isn't really Irish at all. It's a pop song with tin whistles. Quote
Yangedd Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 Yeah, but it's still sounding like an Irish song. I know it's not, but the music is just superb and haunting. I love this song. The first time I heard it I got hooked and decided that it was "My Song". We all have a song that we really love from each album and this is my one from ONCP. liv Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 This song is a kind of lullaby in wich celine talks to her child abaut his parents about how much she loves him .A kind of letter I think Quote Celine, SEI NELL`ANIMA, E LI TI LASCIO PER SEMPRE....My love, can you give me strength Somehow I forgot how to ease my pain I know I'm right where I belong Something from nothing never proved me wrong But I stand tall to get by No matter how hard I try to hide Did you know I take the time for you Did you know that I would see you through Did you know that I would play the part I must've made it clear right from the start I would shade my whole life with you Would you do the same for me I would give all I am to you Would you do the same for me
Jvix Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I love this song! And I love Irish music! It's fantastic! Je Lui Dirai is powerfull, too! Yangedd, you are very lucky to be Irish! Quote http://img22.imageshack.us/img22/1993/110fm.jpg CÉLINE DION - STADE DE LA PRAILLE - GENÈVE - 09/07/08

Yangedd Posted December 18, 2005 Author Posted December 18, 2005 I'd love to see a video to this song. Jeanine Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Yes, I really like the Irish influences in this song, But not it is not my favourite of the album. In fact on 1 Fille & 4 Types I more like Veneruso's songs. Especially ( ) "Conte Nature". But "Je Lui Dirai" is also a very beautifull song (kinda upbeat ), Goldman did (and his friends too) a good job . I'm curious for her next collaboration with Goldman for her next French album. Hopefully again with Vernuso or some others... Also the meaning of this song is very beautifull, I can understand why they took it for Miracle-promotion (at least one good decision of Sonmy, although it was too late to promote the song..)Jeanine Quote http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/music/entity/platinum/celine_dion_banner_cropped.jpg Order NOW
Yangedd Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 I'm listening to it on repeat again now. God, I just can't get enough of this track. I wanna learn to speak the lyrics so I can sing along. Right now I can only listen to it and not sing along. giglamoroso Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Well, first off all,I think she said that she's gratefull to J.J.Goldman to write a song about her son that is so lively (the opposite of "If I could").And secondly,I would agree with Bellamy that french is less adequate (than québécois) to the irish folk trad musics.I'd suggest to listen to an old, extremely popular french-canadian songstress who had irish roots, and is known only as "La Bolduc",to hear the difference from the french from France. Yangedd Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 Yes please I'd love to hear you sing it. It's so full of joy and happiness. I'm going to try and make a remix of it or something. I want to add beat and tin whistles to it and make some kind of edit. Quote http://thelavalizard.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/celine-dion-quebec-thelavalizard.pngYou Loved Me Back To Life, Life!
