reamary Posted June 3, 2013 at 07:45 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 07:45 PM Which part of Canada was the study tour? It would have been all over! Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Québec, Victoria and Vancouver... A real once in a lifetime experience for those who were chosen to participate! I honestly thought I had a chance too but guess I wasn't lucky enough. Too bad I won't be able to try another time next year, as I should be graduating around next Christmas. But I just now got the idea of starting to save up for a trip to Québec for my 30th birthday...! I think that would be a great idea! http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o419/reamary/1338b390-8604-432c-8a00-e8e1052a92ba.jpgHELSINKI 9.6.2008 - PARIS 26.11.2013 - PARIS 28.6.2016 - STOCKHOLM 17.6.2017 !
LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 08:11 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 08:11 PM I'd also love to go to Canada! The closest I've been to it is St. Cloud, Minnesota. It's gorgeous up there and I bet Canada is gorgeous as well. I hope you do get the chance to go, Reamary!

LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 08:54 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 08:54 PM Now the situation will look like this: 1
Jeff Abbott Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:08 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:08 PM Luis, what's the most famous landmark in Barcelona?
LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:09 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:09 PM I took a picture of it the other day from the bus, lemme look for it.
LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:13 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:13 PM (edited) Well, it looks really small here: It's called La Sagrada Familia, and it's an awesome church that they're still building. Here's some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sagrada_Fam%C3%ADlia Edited June 3, 2013 at 09:14 PM by LuisMa
LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:17 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:17 PM (edited) Here's a better picture I took a couple of years ago: Gaudí designed it. It's in wikipedia, so READ. Edited June 3, 2013 at 09:18 PM by LuisMa 1
Jeff Abbott Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:29 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:29 PM (edited) Well, I remember that back in time during one of the speaking exams I got a similar picture and I was supposed to describe it. I said something like "this picture shows ..... and it was designed by Gandhi. The examiners were not impressed, let me tell you. Edited June 3, 2013 at 09:31 PM by Jeff Abbott 2
LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:32 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:32 PM (edited) OMG Now you made me laugh! Probably Gandhi and Gaudi are both wherever they are. Edited June 3, 2013 at 09:32 PM by LuisMa 1
Jeff Abbott Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:33 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:33 PM Recently in one of the TV game shows there was a question about the designer of that building and the memories miraculously came back.
Jeff Abbott Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:35 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:35 PM OMG Now you made me laugh! Probably Gandhi and Gaudi are both wherever they are.Well, in Polish both names are pronounced almost the same hence the confusion.

Jeff Abbott Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:42 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:42 PM Probably yon inverted the U and cansed yonr coufnsiou. Don't even ask me who invented the light bulb? I might answer it was Alexander Graham Bell (another example of my witty exam answer)
LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:43 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:43 PM (edited) Yes, it wouldn't be a good to ask you that! Edited June 3, 2013 at 09:44 PM by LuisMa
Jeff Abbott Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:54 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:54 PM (edited) By the way, Luis are you aware you were born on the Polish Independence Day? I, on the other day, was born on The Miner's Day. Edited June 3, 2013 at 09:54 PM by Jeff Abbott
LuisMa Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:58 PM Posted June 3, 2013 at 09:58 PM Miner's Day, huh? No wonder why you are always looking for things "underground" And also you're covered with soot and dirt and you're always doing the dirty laundry. EX-POSED!
