When I saw that video last night before I went to sleep, I knew that Vic's gonna bring it up That's one of the biggest flaws of using a beautiful glass and metal body. Although it gives the aesthetics, the shock absorbing factor is very low. That is also one of the reasons why I'm not a huge fan of the materials used on the iPhone 4/4S. But that doesn't mean that Sammy's GS II is built to last. From the very first moment you hold it, the flimsy build quality comes into effect. Hold it on the edges, and voila! The creaks that one can hear is not what I'd expect from such an espensive phone. Also, the quality could have been so much better if Sammy didn't spend all its money trying to protect it's copy/paste @$$ getting sued all around. I completely agree with the glorious screen of the GS II. There is nothing that would beat it currently. But what happens when one turns it off. Sure looks like a cheap plastic toy to me. Heck, I, personally, prefer HTC's build quality wayyyy more than Sammy's. BTW there's a thing called phone case. If one can spend so much on a phone, why not spend around USD 30 for quality sleeve/cases? And how in the world do people drop their phones so much when they know they're holding such an expensive gadget? Do they smear their hands with butter and make it all wobbly-jiggly to just bang it on the street floor?! I'm super careful with all my phones. The only one that I dropped incessantly without even having dents are my Nokia ones cos I know they can take the beating cos their build quality is just superb. Then there's the oomph factor as well. I was leaving school, I didn't know that Sandrine was following me (that's very surprising, the groud usually skakes and there's the sound of her shoes) and I didn't hold the door for her (her hand were full with her bad, a huge pile of papers and a radio) and it like closed on her. I noticed that there was someone there, I saw that it was her, felt really bad, said sorry as I was leaving she said it was ok but I still feel bad! I don't know why I'm feeling so bad about this!
