Claudette Posted March 30, 2011 at 01:55 PM Posted March 30, 2011 at 01:55 PM (edited) I think I just wasted a whole slab chocolate. I made brownies, but they are stuck in the pan and they started burning after ten minutes even though the recipe says bake for 30 minutes. Maybe I should leave the baking to the professionals... Claudette Posted March 30, 2011 at 05:25 PM Posted March 30, 2011 at 05:25 PM (edited) Well this is my first time I'm saying this And no, I am not healthy. I wish I was. I meant there's always people complaining about it here or in the venting thread (and in general), not specifically only you. This is just a sensitive subject for me at the moment, so I just got annoyed. Just forget I said anything. And I'm sorry to hear that you are not healthy. Frida Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:08 PM Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:08 PM Isn't it a good problem to have though? Why do some of you guys always complain about it? I will never get it... Be thankful that you are healthy. (Please don't interpret this the wrong way Claudette, I'm not "attacking" you or mean anything negative at all.) I don't think that anyone means "I'd rather not (be able to) have kids if it means I won't have my periods/cramps" by complaining, infertility is obviously terrible for a woman to go through. I'm one of those who complain a LOT, and here's why: At first there's mild pain shooting down from the knees to the ankles. I can't really explain it other than that you want to bend them forward, stretch the legs as much as possible, you really do want to cut them off. And that's manageable. Then comes the headache and nausea, like you can throw up at any moment. Still, manageable. But then the shooting pain in the legs/knees gets more intense, followed by pelvic pain so excruciating it feels like every bone in the area has been smashed by a hammer into a million pieces, causing you to scream and cry and arch your back whether you want to or not. It forces you lie down with a bucket by your side for 24 hours, and to have such intense and extreme pain makes you exhausted. Add to that the need to still deal with your diabetes, a 3½-year-long battle with depression, and the stress and guilt of knowing you're missing yet another day of important work/classes/studies/meetings (and guilt and stress doesn't work well with depression). I'm not saying it's like this for everyone, there's only one in my family that recognizes the feeling, and she's pretty sure it's endometriosis which means I might not be able to have kids (the diabetes can have screwed that possibility already). But this is what it's like for me. And so I complain, because it isn't easy to deal with. But the fact that I complain doesn't mean I'd rather get an operation and get rid of it all, I realize that there are thousands of women who'd happily go through that if there was even the slightest chance of getting pregnant. Normal periods and its cramps is a good problem to have, yes - when it gets to the point when it's intensified by 10000% and means you can't have kids anyway, then no, it's not. When it's taken to the extreme it's not healthy. But it could be worse, so I'm grateful for that. Gosh that was a lot of text. Anyway, not meant as attacking or anything, simply wanted to make you see why I complain, and that I never meant to insult you/what you're going through in any way http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png

Anniina Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:34 PM Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:34 PM Talking about being healthy - I'm getting more info of what's and what's not growing inside of my head tomorrow! In some level, I would be relieved if they found something, then there would be an explanation to all this. well let's see "If you follow your dreams it means you follow your heart. Claudette Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:37 PM Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:37 PM (edited) I'm really regretting bringing the subject up at all. Frida, I do understand that for a lot of woman going through this month after month it is no picnic and I know there's a lot of woman that do have reason to complain. I am also sorry to hear that you are one of them. I just get annoyed sometimes when people complain about getting a mild stomach ache or whatever it is (which usually goes away after taking a painkiller) and then makes it sound like it is some kind of punishment to be a woman, which it certainly not is. Maybe I'm just a bit sensitive at the moment and her post just came at the wrong time. I did not mean anything by it. I completely understand, I react (or used to, I'm trying to let it bother me) the same way when people say "oh I'm so depressed." Like seriously offended and insanely "you-dont-know-what-the-F-you're-talking-about"-angry. Some things ticks us off, nothing wrong with that. And I sorta gathered that you meant those who complain of "normal" pain and not the extreme cases, but like I said, just wanted you to know what I'm not one of the "take a painkiller and it goes away" kind of complainer LOL Ah well, moving on... Anniina Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:53 PM Posted March 30, 2011 at 07:53 PM Claudette, I know, I have friends who are in their words dying because of a mild cramping! It makes me a bit angry and another one is the people with the little headaches..... yeappp. Frida, did you have/are you having migraines too? There's just no worse pain than it, really. And just to say, your situation with the monthly struggle sounds serious.. have you had any relief from medicines or something else? "If you follow your dreams it means you follow your heart.
