They got to my bedroom window and tried to open it (with my head just a few cm's from it). My dog sleeps infront of my room in the house so he must have heard them when they tried to open the window. He immediatelly started barking like crazy and with that I woke up and I heard them running away. We have this stepping stone thing going on infront of my window with gravel in between. You cannot miss the sound of somebody running away on that gravel. My dad ran to let the dog go out. He was totally crazy, but they got away. This morning there were footprints all over the yard. The gravel was lying all over the stepping stones. Our electric fence was destroyed and we picked up one of the guys' hat. If the dog didn't start barking who knows what could have happened. Let's just say that everything that happened two weeks ago is forgiven. I'll run after him and carry him home again. We have no clue what they wanted or what they were planning. I'll probably don't sleep for the next few days. This has been the craziest two weeks... I took some pictures of the fence and the hat this morning. And having to have a electric fence around your house and the burglars getting through it! I am so happy you are ok! My dogs have scared burglars away twice. Once they were able to open up one window and the second time they were looking through the windows with a flash light. I love my dogs!

I don't think it is that our security is bad, the problem is that people get so smart and what not that they actually bypass any security system you have. I mean they cut our electric fence last night. You guys have no idea how I was shaking. I mean they opened my window. At first it didn't sink in, but when we realized later what they did I was like S***! Hurricane? Not that I know of. Unless I missed something. It is just a bit cold for this time of year since it is suppose to be spring now. Edit: Yes, Vic, it was the first time. I mean they've broken into my mom's car once, but that was in the street infront of our house. They've never actually tried to get into the house. My dad is busy cutting the tree down as I type this.
