pat200 Posted September 27, 2010 at 12:05 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 12:05 AM In moments like these you find out who in your family really has your back. So far, out of a 100, only 4 have mine. the others just ran away! devastated...

Belle Céline Posted September 27, 2010 at 04:01 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 04:01 AM time for bed. Another boring Monday the only plus is that I get my Sugarland shirt and tourbook today! I can't wait! I'm totally changing into my Sugarland shirt before class in the morning! I don't have my late class today so that means I'm done at noon and I can go work out after class and have an extra day in of working out. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png

Davey84 Posted September 27, 2010 at 07:15 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 07:15 AM global warming maybe?! it does seem that the weather is getting more extreme; more heat or more rain etc etc... they are also predicting a much colder Winter than last year and last year was really cold with a lot of snow already! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
pat200 Posted September 27, 2010 at 09:03 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 09:03 AM Edwin, yes that is a big sum. I want to do my PhD and I didn't get a scholarship (the prof said my application indicated that i didn't need one :S ). The SL covers only the tuition. And since I am broke I need at least to cover my living expenses for the first year and a half till i find some work there and start making money. Really i've been having a rough few weeks, very stressful...
reamary Posted September 27, 2010 at 09:20 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 09:20 AM global warming maybe?! it does seem that the weather is getting more extreme; more heat or more rain etc etc... they are also predicting a much colder Winter than last year and last year was really cold with a lot of snow already! That would be aawesome!! I mean another cold and snowy winter!! I loved loved LOVED last winter, it was the best in years! I'm so sick of black Christmases and long, dark, rainy and "mushy" periods from October til March with practically no snow, that anything is better than that. Winters are supposed to be cold and snowy! It gives some hope in the middle of this global warming... http://i342.photobucket.com/albums/o419/reamary/1338b390-8604-432c-8a00-e8e1052a92ba.jpgHELSINKI 9.6.2008 - PARIS 26.11.2013 - PARIS 28.6.2016 - STOCKHOLM 17.6.2017 !

And since I am broke I need at least to cover my living expenses for the first year and a half till i find some work there and start making money. Really i've been having a rough few weeks, very stressful... You want to do your PhD and they didn't give you a scholarship? That is just so wrong on many levels. They should be ashamed of themselves. I have to say that students here in SA are very lucky: There is almost always funding available for post grad students. Maybe it is to motivate students to further their studies. http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Edwin Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:43 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:43 AM Wow, that would be amazing. But I understand the no funding. You have to get your post secondary education funded yourself here, unless you're smart or athletic enough to be offered a scholarship.
Claudette Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:50 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:50 AM I think it may have something to do with the fact that we still have a shortage in people doing post grad studies, especially in things like science and mathematics. http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Edwin Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:54 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:54 AM OMFG. It's almost October. Where did the time go?!
dj4celine Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:55 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 10:55 AM (edited) global warming maybe?! it does seem that the weather is getting more extreme; more heat or more rain etc etc... they are also predicting a much colder Winter than last year and last year was really cold with a lot of snow already! SNOW!!!! OK, I'm already booking my flight tickets Edwin, yes that is a big sum. Maybe it is to motivate students to further their studies. Only a select few get scholarships here in India. Maybe cos there are lots of students applying for it Like Edwin said, one has to be extra smart to be eligible to apply for them. Oh, the dilemmas of higher education I'm so taking a year break before I even apply for the MBA EDIT: Ahem Ahem.. someone's gonna be ooooolllllddddddddddddddd in a month's time :P Edited September 27, 2010 at 10:58 AM by dj4celine
Edwin Posted September 27, 2010 at 11:07 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 11:07 AM Thanks for not making a new post for that Eh, what is old? After 21, I stopped caring I can drive, vote, smoke, gamble and drink legally now. The only thing to look forward to is the senior citizen discount at 55
pat200 Posted September 27, 2010 at 11:30 AM Posted September 27, 2010 at 11:30 AM well it didn't help that i applied for the january session which usually is an extra session to apply. i missed out on applying for the main session, that is where most of the funding goes. i did get a masters from germany and graduated with distinction. that should mean something, especially when u factor in the fact that the level of education in germany is reaaally high. but once i get there i could try and get a scholarship for the second year, hopefully
dj4celine Posted September 27, 2010 at 12:17 PM Posted September 27, 2010 at 12:17 PM Edin, you get senior citizen discount at 55? Here's it's at 60 Pat, what did you master in?
