@Belle-I think it's sad about your friend, being married and going to put the baby up for adoption. If they are not going to have any children at all, I think a vasectomy would be the answer for them.

Ester, I know its not my choice and I know she can't in reality afford a baby right now because he is the only one working but I do wish if she is pregnant they would consider keeping it. If I were her I would do whatever I could to keep my baby, adoption is something that unless it was the last resort I don't think I could go through with it. It would break my heart to know I had a child out there in the world somewhere that I'd probably never get to see if its not an open adoption. But again this isn't my choice and she has every right to chose adoption if she wishes. I know that adoption is the best choice for some people and others don't want to give their child up. I have nothing against adoption if its whats best for the child but she could get a job as well and I think with two incomes they could support a baby but maybe not. She has said neither of them are ready for a child right now and I think that as sad as it seems that adoption is the right choice for them at the current point in their marriage and lives they have only been married since January and do not have a place of their own. They are living with a friend of hers in a small apartment.

 

I don't want let my feelings lessen my support for her though. As sad as I might think it is I will of course support whatever choice she makes regarding adoption if she is pregnant. She has she she won't get an abortion if she is pregnant.

I'm freaking out a little cause I'm going to go substituting in in a few hours..!! It's my first time, I'll have two French classes in a row to give....! I don't know what I am most afraid of, the students' behaviour (though I believe that shouldn't be a problem cause both of the groups are very small, consist mostly of girls, and it is an optional subject they study.. ), or how to "behave" myself in the school, I mean do I have to go to the teachers' room if I don't want to?? Then I'm afraid that what if we run out of things to do in the class, and perhaps the thing I'm MOST afraid of, is the technology part.. if nothing works, or if I just don't understand how everything works and we can't even listen to the cd. The only thing I'm not worried over is the French itself and using French in the class, about that I'm pretty confident.

I'm not sure what is wrong with this though to be honest. Adoption >>>>>> abortion.

Marriage automatically means you must keep the baby though? Some couples aren't ready, and those who are but can't conceive turn to adoption. It's lovely actually.

Well now it's all over already (for today)! But it went just fine! I was very well welcomed (by the principal and few of the teachers I saw) and the students behaved well too. The classes just flyed by in the end! Tomorrow I'll still have one English lesson I'm substituting, I think it'll be a bit different cause it's a bigger group, and also because English is not my major subject.. but anyway I'm not so nervous anymore since I had a good experience today.

My dog Freyja is having her "period" and we have a male dog as well (he's neutured) and they are ALWAYS humping! I have her in pants so they don't succeed (can create a fake pregnancy) but he has learnt to remove the pants and get things happen.. and then he get's stuck in her and begins to cry .. again and again and again.
