karatedude317 Posted March 12, 2008 at 09:42 PM Posted March 12, 2008 at 09:42 PM This is my first time seeing her. I'll be at: Section Row 219 D If you look at teh seating chart the seats aren't that bad because the coliseum isn't that big, i'm concerned about if I'll be seeing her back the whole time or if she's going to move around. I could kick myself for not getting the tickets with the teamceline membership attached, for the other date they added i would have gotten floor seats for less money. UNBELIEVABLE! Too bad I didn't know that sooner. So who else is going? What seats do you have? It would be great to hear from you! Shaun Quote
karatedude317 Posted August 31, 2008 at 04:25 AM Author Posted August 31, 2008 at 04:25 AM So i guess nobody is goin to this concert but me! I'll try and see what i can record with my camera and give the best and most in-depth review that I can. This is my first concert, I"m taking my grandmother (I got the tickets for her for Christmas last year) she loves Celine even more than I, so this will be an unforgetable night for both of us. She battled breast cancer this year, so I can't wait to take her so she can forget about the rough year that she's had, I can't wait to see her face when Celine walks out. Well I won't see any of you there, maybe I"ll see some of you at the dinner. Shaun Quote

karatedude317 Posted September 10, 2008 at 03:04 AM Author Posted September 10, 2008 at 03:04 AM Hey I THINK u could go from Jersey to Penn, then take the LIRR to the Westbury station, and take a cab to the coliseum, the Mineola train station isn't close to the coliseum to walk to it. lol Here's some info: Westbury Station: Taxis are located at the train station. There is no direct bus service available to Nassau Coliseum from the Westbury train station So from Penn, take the LIRR to Westbury, then a taxi to NC Hope this helps! Quote

karatedude317 Posted September 14, 2008 at 05:13 AM Author Posted September 14, 2008 at 05:13 AM Hmm...1am and no comments or reviews??? WELL JEEZ JOEY GIVE ME A CHANCE TO GET IN THE DOOR!!!! This was my first concert, not just for Celine, but for anyone. Having said that, seeing Celine in person was beyond anything I ever thought it would be. I have lots of pics and lots to share, but you'll have to forgive me, it's pretty late and I need to catch some sleep. For those who will be seeing her soon, you are in for a REAL treat. She was in the best vocal shape tonight than she has ever been and was completely into every song that she sang. She added little extras to pretty much each song that made it sound a little different than the vids we've seen on youtube. With the exception of the couple of songs that she lips, every other song that she performed had some slight differences to them. MHWGO was LIVE tonight also! I know this because the notes at the end sounded a little different, and when you are in the coliseum, you can sorta tell the songs that are lipped and those that aren't, the sound is slightly different. In MHWGO, it definitely sounded live. Pics and more comments coming soon. Stay tuned! If anyone else is going to a Celine show for the first time, let me know. If you are thinking twice about bringing cameras, BRING THEM! You will be sorry if you didn't, like the people sitting next to me. There were tons of flashes going off, honestly nobody cares. That's all for now! GOODNIGHT! Quote
clbmed02 Posted September 14, 2008 at 06:13 AM Posted September 14, 2008 at 06:13 AM Finally back to our apartment after a 2.5 hrs on the trains But every minute of it was well worth it. Celine was in top form and so was the audience The front center row was great, almost everyone was standing up the whole time. We had the best seats in the house. Salla got a ticket at the last minute and was able to acquire one of the best seats by far Sect 115 row 5 seat 5. Couldn't have asked for a better seat for taking pictures especially "My Love" Ramona and I sat by the catwalk, although separated by an open aisle. Nick saw us and jokingly told us "don't jump up there, girls" referring to the catwalk . Ramona was luckier to be able to sit right in the front row. Rene was in her section with Tommy Mattolla and wife. Celine was sooooo funny tonight and talked about the house cleaning ladies (who were actually guys ). There must have been some sweat from the dancers on both sides of the catwalk and she did not want any body "killing themselves". This all happened right before My Love and she told the crowd to "take pictures" and talk to her. Ramona was able to capture the special moment with Andre As usual, Ramona got her one-on-one with Celine at the end of the show . It was so neat because it was captured on the big screen. That lucky B**** I am soo jealous because I did not get underneath the catwalk in time "Limbo Dancing" "The Cleaning Ladies" Salla taking a picture of Celine during My Love Ooops!! Forgot to turn it around!!! Better view this way. Wonder what was going through Rene's mind. Quote "That which you manifest is before you"
autumnskies00 Posted September 14, 2008 at 07:41 AM Posted September 14, 2008 at 07:41 AM OMG BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. Someone please tell me you got pictures of Celine exiting! I was in row two in H1, I was the girl after Ramona that Celine hugged. OMG I could die. I said "I really needed this tonight, thank you so much, I love you" and she hugged and gave me a kiss on the cheek, and after I said that, she put my face in her hands and just stared me in the eyes. Please please pleasae please tell me someone got a picture or video of that lol. Fat chance...but I would love it! I decided last minute to forget an autograph and just take the moment to talk to her instead. They lady next to me got it on her cell, but I'm not sure if she'll send it. On top of that, my section was very small so when she came over she always looked me right in the eye. ANNNND before that, I had a letter for her, and I thought she wasn't exiting that way, so I gave it to her body guard. Not the big bald one ...the other one. Think he'll actually give it to her? Please let me know if you have any pictures of her exiting the stage. Quote http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b213/autumnskies00/siggy1-2.jpg

Please let me know if you have any pictures of her exiting the stage. Hey I'm sorry I didn't get any pictures of that If it's any consolation, you and Celine were shown on the big screens! I saw her hugging Ramona and putting your face in her hands. I told my grandmother "look at the screen, look how lucky she is." Celine was so cool to stop and talk to people on the way out, despite the body guards rushing her out. SOOOOOOOOO the show.... I mean it when I say this was probably one of her best. I"m not going to go through each song because you already know by now what she sings (and if you don't know, I don't want to ruin the surprise ) She definitely seemed at the top of her game. I was sitting in section 219, and she was about to enter in the aisle to the left of my section. Unfortunately i was sitting at the opposite side and could only get a glimpse. The pics I took are quite dark, but you can make out the pink dress walking by. The crowd went nuts!! This crowd was definitely very lively and upbeat, which she seemed to definitely enjoy. She nailed every note, and didn't let the slippery stage distract her. For some reason all of the floors in the coliseum were slippery, including the steps to get to our seat, many people were slipping and almost falling as they were going to their seats. Celine slipped while singing IDAN, one of the dancers who purposely slid as part of the routine nearly slid right off of the stage to the point that his bent knee went over where the stage ends. Another dancer grabbed him by the back of his shirt. Celine made light of the stage conditions at first, saying things like "the cleaning people are doing such a good job, maybe they can come to your place, give me your phone numbers and I'll give it to them." People from the audience were shouting their phone numbers and Celine goes "wait not all at once!" Then she says "you all want to talk to me, it's been ten years since you've seen me and you all want to talk to me, I'm a talker too you know!" After another song she said "I'm sorry but this stage is still too slippery can you guys come back and try to do something, put sandpaper down there, ANYTHING!" Then she started sliding around in her heels and saying "Look guys I can play hockey now! I can be the goalie!" and she was moving around as if to be a goalie for a hockey game. She was telling the cleaning guys that they were doing a great job but they missed a spot, and making light of the whole situation, which added some variety and extra banter to the show, but also added a level of nervousness for them and for us. Each time she went down the ramps I held my breath, those shoes are dangerous enough without the slippery floor. Being the professional that she is, she did not become distracted at all by the cleaning going on all around her while she performed some of her songs. All in all, she was on FIRE, and for my first time, it will be something that I will always remember. More importantly, the time that I got to spend with my grandmother and seeing her happiness throughout the show was worth more than any amount of money that a ticket could cost. Seeing the tears come down her face as Celine appeared on stage, and sang the songs that mean the most to her (BYLM, my song to her, The Prayer, TPOL, MHWGO) are moments I will remember more than anything. Thanks to Celine for bringing so many people together, and for creating memories that we will treasure for a lifetime. SOME ADVICE! If you like the Celine t-shirts, they are 40 bucks! However if you wait in the parking lot, the guys come around selling them for 10 bucks! My grandmother now has Celine in her wardrobe. LOL I have LOTS of pics, I've uploaded them to my computer, but need to figure out how to get them on here, once I do that, I'll let you know. I may need to ask the moderators for help, but I"ll try it on my own first. I apologize for writing so much, and apologize in advance for the ridiculous amount of pics I have, I'm the king of photo taking as you are about to find out! Quote
