Till now... i've seen the TVE Special.... and it's amazing !! can't wait to see it on my dvd player !

Okay so I bought it this afternoon, went home and watched all the bonus material straight away.

 

Because You Loved Me... A Tribute To The Fans: This is what I watched first. I LOVED seeing how so many, different kinds of people from all over the world talked about their trips to Vegas, how they prepared. It really showed how we all went there for the same reason and how passionate we all are. Of course, I was so proud to see the Dutchies on there as well. J'Irai Où Tu Iras gave me chills, as everyone set off on their journeys. The meetings with Céline were wonderful to witness, although those are probably the most valuable to the people who were actually filmed there. Estevam, I was soo impressed by your French AND how you were able to say everything you wanted to say! Really, I can imagine how tough it is to remember everything once you're standing right infront of her. All the other fans: what a dream come true, and what great moments.

 

All Access: This is the second thing I played and to my surprise, I LOOOVED it! I had expected to be a bit bored, because it is the entire run of the show. The backstage footage, however, was so much fun to see and gave the entire show a completely new dimension. Now I know what happened behind the screen while I was sitting in front of it. There's such a great vibe among everyone there, you can really see what kind of a person Céline is and how this cast truly is like a family! I was bummed out that the Tête À Claques was taken out of the English version, because I would have loved to have that on a dvd. Oh well, ou can't have everything I guess. One last thing: the woman takes off EVERYTHING for the costume changes! LMAO! I was so shocked! But it seems like she's used to it. She even had people with her while dressing for the sound-check

 

The Secrets: I was kind of dissapointed about this part. Mostly because of the business people in there. It was nice to hear how everything came about, but the thing is, I would have loved to see more stories from dancers/Céline/René/Michel. Something like that. But enough negativity, the end of this was just amazing. Michel during Seduces Me cracked me up. The footage of Céline singing after her father passed away was truly heartbreaking. The one thing she could really honor her Dad with, in her own special and unique way. And Michel commenting on that, all I can say is that I am really glad they had each other while they were still in Vegas.

 

The Booklet: BEautifully done, and the message inside from Céline: that's all I was hoping to hear. That's all I'll say

 

Overall: I loved how everything was put together. Julie and her team did an AMAZING job and although I was yearning for more after I finished all the bonus material, they really deserve a big round of applause, because they outdid themselves.

It bums me out that I won't be able to get it on its release date... and probably not until well after the New Year.

It seems soooo amazing! On second thought... maybe someone will be Mr/Ms. Smartypants and get it for me for Christmas.

I think I might have a good shot if I put some of the bets on my aunt.

i know! i ordered mine off circut city and i'll have it in my hands on Monday!!!! AHHHHHHHH! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS SHOW! (I already have seen it live in Las Vegas! But we've been waiting for this thing for the past 4 years, so the wait was worth it!!!!)

I think it depends on the dates, here in Germany, all Music and DVD releases are on fridays, so that's why I got the DVD today in my postbox like I think our mate in Netherlands bought it as well but guys, you will get it soon and will be happy to watch... and watch...

 

I'm still watching, I wasn't in Las Vegas but the DVD, Dolby Digital 5.1 and Plasma Flat at home here do a good job, 74.6 percent LIVE-Feeling, I had some goose skins, laughs and tears during the show and "holla" the "All Access" DVD is a wonderful kinda "making of" when you see the stage action beside the backstage actionl, the comments, the staff, celine stressed and her full professional performances, you will make a wonderful experience and to see, how much of work ALL of the crew did, is very interesting.

 

Lucky You who's got a ticket for the LAST show! Gratulations to all of you!!!

 

 

 

I will do my review after the DVD will be released worldwide, so I won't tell you TOO much right now

I managed to get the DVD yesterday after work and managed to see the show only. The show is fantastic and I think the DVD and the package are made just amazingly!

During any of the bonus features do they ever mention any songs that were originally meant to be included, but ultimately got yanked at the last minute?

 

Do they have a section with songs no longer in the show? "Fever," "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face," "What A Wonderful World," "Have You Ever Been In Love," "Je t'aime encore," "At Last," etc.

Many, many, manyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I loved the part with the tatoos, the part of Mireille and Estevam, the Dutchies (specially Mathias, when she opened his buttons), Jane from South-Africa and the woman that was so surprised that Céline remembered her. Soooooooo many good things, too much to mention here! They did a great job editing the whole thing. You literally see people from all over the world leaving home, going to the airport, arriving at the same airport, its just amazing!

No, unfortunately not. They do show some short footages of The first time and the piano-part of Fever, when she walks down the stairs over the dancers. But that part is about her hair, not about that song. You only see What a wonderful world when they are talking about the day her father passed away. But just short clips, not more than that.

Yes, it IS amazing! If you dont want to know any details, don't read below!

 

The show is good, I like it that they do not only show us Céline, but also everything that happens around her. The dancers, the big screen, you get a very good idea of what the show is like. The only thing I missed is interaction with the public. I cannot believe why they did not add the 'I love you more'-part in the show. It would have showed the sense of humour Céline has and the interaction she can have with her fans. Now its just a great show, but it seems like there is a little 'distance' between the audience and Céline (apart from the usual talking she does every night). And from what I have heard from the people that were there, the atmosphere was great. It is a shame we dont get to see all of that. But it is nice to see familiar faces, singing and dancing along!

 

The Tribute to the fans-part is very good. They edited it in a nice way. We see people from all over the world at their homes, getting ready for their trips. Then we see them going to the airport, making their way to Vegas and all arriving at the same Las Vegas-airport, anxious, happy... And we do see some people in the car as well, singing along with Céline on the radio (Ramona), it is very funny! We see them at their hotels, getting ready for the show. And finally we see them at the Colosseum, backstage and meeting Céline. The meetings are incredible to see, because it shows how generous and sweet Céline is. She has a nice word for everyone, there are some children there as well, she hugs them so tight! Of course Ramona was there, she told how many shows she had seen already. I loved the English guy that was after her and said he 'only' saw 8 (or 9?) shows... ONLY! Yes, after Ramona that is 'only'... The woman that got recognised by Céline and was so surprised by that, very sweet! The girl that did not speak English and Céline was talking louder and louder and then realised: this girl is not deaf! Why speak so loud? Mathias with his buttons... So many things to mention and see... I loved the part where she almost started to cry when Estevam was having his time with her... It shows us she is just a human being and she is very thankful for all that we give her. Because its not just her giving something to us, we also give her OUR love. You can tell that she feels that way as well and that she really appreciates it.

 

The All Acces-part... I was afraid of that! I thought it might be the same show as on the first DVD but with some backstage-material in it. I was wrong! It gives you such an unbelievable look at what is happening backstage. I did think a lot would be going on, but I had no idea that it would be SO MUCH! Its a seperate world, really! Its so funny to see Céline walk on stage in the dark when 'A new day has come' starts. She is feeling with her foot where the step down is. And again, and again, making sure she is at the right spot and will not fall from the step... So sweet! There are so many things happening, you really have no clue about that when you are in the audience. It also shows they truly are one big family. Joking around, hugging each other, having fun! I think these people will be really sad when it all ends... The nice thing is that you see Céline from the moment she leaves home and says goodbye to RC, untill the moments she comes back home after the show. I do think some things are a little bit 'studied', like RC sleeping on the sofa when they get home. René will not get an Oscar for his acting! Maybe it is because they are talking in English while they usually speak French to RC. But it is just too sweet, and I think it is really special that they give the fans the opportunity to see this. A big thumbs up for this!

 

The Secrets... Its nice! They reveal some secrets about the show and also tell stories about the evolution of the show, and special things that happened. Like the night her father died and she did perform, or when RC was there for the first time. And the nights they had special guests. I thought it was really funny what they did for Anthony Hopkins. He did not want to be in the centre of the attention, but the people that work backstage did want him to know that they knew he was there and they appreciated that. They put a Hannibal-mask on one of the people on stage and drove him over the stage, with his hands tied on his back. I think I would have been shocked to see that! Later on they heard Anthony was talking about that all the way to the parkinglot. It is just funny to hear these kind of things, its special to know.

 

Overall, I think this DVD is a must have for every fan. The bonus-material is GREAT! I do think there is more... At the end for instance, they show Céline giving us a kind of backstage-tour (really funny, she is CRAZY). I think there is so much more of that! I want to see it allllllllllllll!

 

If there is anyone that is on the DVD and is curious about his or her part, just let me know. I can imagine you want to know which part they show of your meeting with Céline. I can look it up for you guys!

I hoped mine would arrive in the post today cos ordered from Tesco Direct and they usually deliver Monday Releases on the Saturday before...and I'm depressed today and would have loved this more than anything. I'm All By Myself too.

I totally love it. I started with watching the all access, lmao @ RC sucking Celines cheek hahaha and the part how she eats, the who let the dogs out thingy haha she's nuts. I loved to watch it all from behind, all those dancers are awesome too, such great fun and excitement. Also a part where celine met a fan in a wheelchair... that was a really rare moments, those words of celine were real, for once not read off a screen lol. I was really amazed by this moment. Bless her. I also love the parts of celine and rene in the car LMFAOOOOOOOOO and after the show there's little party HAHAHA poor rene!! Gelatine! HAHAHAHA you'll understand that when you see it lmao! And urrmm I thought I saw her bare #ss HAHAHA lordy. But thinking again I think she's wearing undies, but in skincolour.

 

Then I watched the secrets, that was just talking about the beginning of the show til the end! Nice to see though. And a few moments from the blonde hair were shown, like when her dad passed away, we see more than we did on oprah, her flying during TFTEISYF. I also like a thingy of the dancers, a card made for celine... a nude day lmfaooo.. they were all nude but covered by something SO FUNNY.

 

The fans meeting... Bless them singing all LTAL!!

Also great to see all kinds of fans. I thought the asian girl who couldnt talk english was so sweet, and the ones from africa all dressed up. Bless.

How is sound in rear channels, only echoes and crowd from public or there is "heavy" surround mix like on DVD "All the way, a decade of..."?
