This list lacks NE ME PLAIGNEZ PAS, which was originally recorded as "Do Not Sympathize" by Sheena Easton, on her Madness, Money and Music album from 1982. Edited by Alex_Hutchins

"People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."

Dang! Actually the song is clled "Please Don't Sympathise" and I was sure I had added it to the list when I found out a couple of years back :(

Wow, this is so much in details. Didn't realize Celine has covered so many songs. Thank you.

If ever a boy stood on the moon

All the heavens would call their angels 'round

Stop the tears from troubled skies from falling

If ever the river could whisper your name

Would the choices you make still be the same

Like a flower that dies from angry rain

Why do we hurt ourselves?

Where is the love.......

Sorry...I was translating from French ;)

I started this list when I had my website (Queen Celine) back in 2001/2002 and first posted it in November 2003 on the censorshipforum forum. Whoever copied and posted it or kept it should've asked first <_<

Anyways, I wasn't trying to start a thread that already existed Ronny. I created that list for my website and with all the talk about the covers being on Taking Chances, I figured I could post it here for everyone to see since a lot of people didn't know about many covers Celine did.

At least everything on D'elles was an original song...

Thanks for all the hard work Andreana!

I live my life like a runaway

I'm waiting here for my prince to come

To save me from the darkness...

Miracle is not a cover. It was originally called Who Could Ever Love You More and was specifically written for Celine for her ANDHC album and Celine passed on it at the time. Linda Thompson (David "big head" Foster's ex-wife) and Steve Dorff wrote the song for her. Then Celine released Miracle and re-titled the song. Steve Dorff released a collection of the songs he wrote throughout the years on his albm "You Set My Dreams To Music", shortlyafter Celine's Miracle album. So basically, his version is a cover

Anyway, do you still have the first version of "It's Hard To Say Goodbye"!? (Foolish Lullaby)!?

Yeah I still have that version, Foolish Lullabye, by Laura Branigan.

Yeah! I was a fan of your site too! Why did you close it? There were so many photos in there!

Anyway, I think we should create a special place in this forum where we would write down the foreign adaptations done by other artists on Celine songs. Moderators, please do something about it! The adaptations are getting more and more and we loose track of them... Please!!!
