Was that all on Entertainment Tonight? He kept talking about how they were gonna show exclusive stuff from backstage and all, they showed a little bit then it ended and he started to talk about something else. Was that a preview? Or do you have so short TV-shows in America??

"Your voice is tender loving..." Is that what she sings in The Power Of Love? This is the first time I actually notice what you all talks about: how only the first verse is live. You can hear a sound difference this time. Or is it just me? And yea,I agree with all of you, she needs to record a new track for "live" performances if she has had that since À L'Olympia.

I think ET did a great job showing Céline and Elton working together. Elton's words were gracious and genuine which is atypical of this guy   Gooo Céline.

celine's best friend for the last 3 or 4 years is the playback .
i think she sounded great in "sorry" specialy during that last note tho i didnt like the finish and i think she could be more powerful .

all of those songs like IACBTMN , TPOL and even MHWGO - celine just cant sing those classics like she used to and she probably doesnt want people to compare her recent performances to her old ones cause it's clear her voice is not the same anymore . she sings it night after night in playback in order to protect her voice while performing in vegas but what her excuse now - when she performs every once in a while on TV she can sing those songs live but she just fear people would notice the diffrence that's what i think .

But she always sings live when she is not in Vegas (especially in USA), and her recent renditions of those songs were always amazing : In some small way, miracle, beautifull boy, and more recently in "L'ecole des fan" where she has deliver her best version ever of Destin and maybe Sous le vent. The show for Eddy Marnay is also one of her best ever musically and vocally....Moreover, she has sung MHWGO a billion of time and it wasn't so long ago.
Of course her voice is not the same anymore...But due to the climate in Vegas and her schedules, what is she doing is still impressive.... Her live in Vegas are sometimes very bad, but outside she can still deliver and give the best, even if it's sometimes different from the past....That's it !
Now it's time for rock, for jazz, for fun ! musically, she is always on top and surely more than ever, that's the most important thing.
But yeah ! those playback are a shame.

Of course she can sing live, but why doesn't she do it? I mean it's easier to understand when she does maybe 4 or 5 songs of 20 in playback at her show, but those were only 9 songs. In that case to me it seems only to be laziness, and if you consider how much people paid to see the concert ...

Frankly I stopped bothering about it long time ago. It's not that she sings playback all the time. I think it's simply out of sheer laziness & convenience. And above all she sings the songs in playback I don't care about one bit so why bother?

Seriously she always shines live and considering the strain Vegas puts on her and her asthma I think she has the very right to do it. As I said she does not exaggerate it.

Yes, I agree but that is onlz one side of the medal. There is also the second. If you put Céline into perspective she is not just another ordinary singer. She is also huge commercial enterprise - a human one - that is supposed to promote herself as extensively as possible. The only way to do so without damaging your voice is to use pre-recorded tracks. Sour times, I know and it's not right but that is the right of commercialism. She is in the middle of that now. Still making the best out of it as I think.

The I'm Alive performance was actually quite something. I had lost hope on that song.

I really love it when she sings the part "... I can't wait - for the rest - of my life! " in about 02:41.     Very nice, a different approach, and it is these things we miss out on those pre-recorded live tracks.  

So SSTBTHW and IA was live, which more? I don't care to bother hearing the ones who aren't.
