A lot of research for a class in school that I was doing, if you think about it, you can see the clear links in history where something that started off as a guideline or a suggestion, over time becomes enshrined and becomes a strict rule or a law, the problem is that Religion has not had enough revolution and questioning (like systems of government) that it has not progressed and new ideas are not being aloud to be expressed.

I'm religious too, I've read the Bible and I have nothing against gay people.
Is there a quote where God Himself says: I hate gay people? NO.

I don't want to take this into a religious fight but I believe God sent us a message of love, not hate. And this message came for everyone: black of white, woman or man, gay or straight.

So, as I've said before, I believe everyone has the right to love whoever they want. And there is no one else's business!

This is the gay issues thread, and that is the biggest one of all is it not? And who said we were fighting>?

@The bible quotes: Blah, blah blah, I have seen that all before, in fact it's been put before me with many a triumphant smile on the face of the presenter.

Again, as I said, the parts of the old testemant are about the fact that it was seen as a persons duty to reproduce, carry on the Jewish line, so not being in a relationship was seen as detestable because it was like betraying your people.

As for the male prostitute bit, that sounds really weird and I can't see there being anything about homosexuality there, just male prostitutes.

BLAH! Let's move on from the Religion thing, I don't wanna be brought down by this thread, let's keep it a happy place

Some people just need to make excuses to justify the fact that they think it's wrong.  They will find anything they can to try to propve that they're right, in the end the whole dispute is a whole bunch of BS.  Everyone is free to do as they like and those that think it's wrong need to open up their minds and shut their mouths!

Guess what? I have met a gay friend though. In fact I didn't he was guy until he said that but I think this isn't the issue here. I think my friend seem to be so nice with everyone though. Since he's so friendly, I don't see why we can't mix with gay people. Sometimes I think gay people have different thoughts as well.

I personally have a few good friends that I love dearly, who happen to be gay. I was raised in a conservative home, but I was never taught to hate someone who is different. I have no problem with gay ppl and of course there are some I can't stand, but not because they are gay, but because they are friggen drama queens lol. But just with any gay or straight person, there are always gonna be ppl u don't get along with. As far as what I believe about the gay issue, it's not important to you because it's what I believe and it's not what you believe. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I don't look at my friends and think "Oh Diana's lesbian so I can't mention this or that in front of her" Actually I always forget that she is lesbian until she starts telling me about her fantasies with other woman lmao. Which I then politley say "Diana, c'mon now, you know I don't wanna here that lmao" and we just laugh about it.

ok...I might have one problem with gay guys though... Sometimes I tend to like them with out knowing they are gay...and when I find out, then I wish they were straight so I could date them
