That also doesn't seem true. With the Internet and all of us following the recent tours so closely we would have known. There was no situation like this...

You're right, those situations never happened, I don't understand why they made up those stories regarding the shows cancellations, it's just strange...

They should know that us, the die-hard fans, are well-informed...

Honestly, we don’t know especially in that era if something happened like that since that time we have limited proofs since no photos, cellphones allowed that time.

I have to admit that I don't get the unprecise timeline topic.

I mean, what would it change to know when it was filmed?

Céline stopped in March 2020 and the documentary is released in June 2024. 2024 put inside, we didn't have any information about what Céline was going through.

This documentary captures a glimpse of her life in that timeframe, and that's a true gift already. We are not talking about centuries. It's already narrowed down a lot in my opinion.

I watch a lot of documentaries and this is often like that... timeline is blurry and even events happened before others are showed after..

It's up to viewers to look for more information afterwards if interested in what protagonists are up to now, etc...

Not everything must be served on a silver plate.

Actually, weren't people already inside the theatre that time when she had to cancel due to back problems?

Also, she's done a lot of private shows as well (some we don't even know about), so it could have happened when she was doing one of those.

Céline does seem to occasionally invent things for storytelling purposes, which I find surprising. It’s not the first time.

Huh? It’s really a one take. It’s a demo. I think the Walter story messed you up? This guy is the one who makes up stories. Saying she did rerecord the song for his arrangement which is not true. And I already provided a proof before by comparing two versions (movie and album) same vocals different instrumentations under My Heart Will Go On legacy topic

The only thing walter edited with her vocals was the last “ON”. The rest is the arrangement and bg vocals

Yeah. That “lying” was about her health diagnosis saying it was sinus infection blah blah because they don’t know yet the real diagnosis.

No, there was an interview with James Horner on a red carpet (it was a festival or something, maybe when they rereleased Titanic in 2012, but I don't remember for sure - it was a long time after Titanic was released, so late 2000s / early 2010s). He said there were a few takes.

So, what’s with Tommy Motolla and everybody in the recording studio saying it’s a one take thing even him saying that before and said that they just build up an orchestra with her one take demo voice. Then suddenly it’s a two take now?

Well for the loving part, it's quite possible that she told James it's was beautiful song lol.

We all know Celine is too humble to actually say "I don't like your song." I think she showed it to Rene with her hands and face behind James's back, so he might not have known it.

Well, honestly i don’t know who to believe since they all said before that it’s one take thing then suddenly it’s a two take now. I don’t know whose messed up now in telling stories if they just forgot or it’s because of many happenings with their life sort of scrambled when telling the story lol

Maybe they did a test run first (with just James and Celine) and then the "official" demo recording (in which Motolla and others were present)? Hence, other people only know about this one take, Celine only consider the second one valid, and Horner actually thought it was two takes?


It's such a pity they didn't record the sessions though. I knew it was meant to be kept as a secret, but gosh how much I'd love to see it!

I feel like they exaggerate with the one-take claim, just to make it sound dramatic

There had to be at least two takes seeing how soundtrack version is slightly different than the album version

There’s no difference between the soundtrack and the album. You should listen and compare the vocals it’s the same.

I just got back from seeing the doc in theaters. Wow! My thoughts. I loved all the interviews they did with Celine. I wish there was less archival footage and more footage of her day to day life. Felt like half the movie was old footage which I didn’t care for that much( not that I didn’t love seeing it but I expected more current footage)… I cried half the time too..I felt so bad for her… I also feel like the footage jumped around and I could not keep track of where we were time wise(like what month was the announcement filmed) and little things like that.  I would have liked more clarification on where we were in the year of filming

Just saw it at the theater. The last scene was so moving. I'm still crying thinking about her singing along to that song she loves "Who I Am" after she just had a seizure. Only our Celine could still look at the bright side and joyfully sing along and let the music take away her pain just for a few moments.

Personal favorite parts of the documentary…..

Scene were she is talking about how cool rockstars are. Smoking, drinking, partying, etc and all she does is drink water and sleep for 12 hours. Made me laugh. ❤️❤️❤️

The “episode” scene was beyond sad and hard to watch (even after the 2nd viewing). Loved her resilience when she found the power to sing a little of “Who I Am”. I immediately downloaded the song and can’t stop playing it and thinking about her determination.

Sooo much strength!
