It’s strange how her lyrics have new life again…. “Perfect Goodbye” is emotional to listen to right now.

One doesn't exclude the other.
We don't know who knew about it before but I find it personnally very weird this situation where the prime Minister of Canada publicly came forward about it but none of her inner circle ( or supposed to be) did.
One would imagine that at least some would. It's like they all gathered and agreed not to. This is not possible and makes me buy the isolated situation she would be in.
Also, she only hinted at her sons, her doctors and her fans on her message.
No word about family and friends. Such statement generally includes something like "I'm surrounded by the love of my family and friends who are there to support me and help me get better'

Well, it's clear she doesn't speak to Claudette 😉
To be fair, I think Céline only got her diagnosis around September or so. So until then, Claudette's speculation may have been based on what Cëline's family believed at that point.
But Anne-Marie probably knew, as Marc Duprez said they were in regular contact.

Eric Tewalt (sax guy) has been liking dozens of Cëline tweets. Judy Kang (violin) also liked the insta post.
Barnev, Elise and Dawn are barely active on social media anymore, they haven't posted in ages. Same for Philippe, Jenny etc. The big days of Instagram are over, a lot of people left.
Dee doesn't mention or follow Céline anymore, but it does seem they are still in contact (she photographed the elephant pictures earlier this year). And with Pepe, there seems to be some drama for whatever reason.
A lot of people with a chronic illness self-isolate because they are embarrassed, don't want to be pitied etc. I hope Céline's message was a first step of her re-entering the world. She is such a social creature, so she must've felt so lonely 😔

” The famous last time that the members of the team were able to see Celine Dion, it was in December 2021, when she announced to them in the heart of the rehearsals of her new show in Las Vegas that the first performances were postponed “.
Well we know the shows were cancelled in October, not December, but assuming that was a simple mistake and the rest is true, her band hasn’t seen her in person in over a year.

I’ve been thinking a lot about that, too. I know he’s lucky in that he never has to work a day in his life. But money doesn’t solve everything, certainly not the important things. This is a lot for him to handle.

Of course it manifests differently in different people, and everyone responds to treatments differently, so finding the best one for a given individual is trial and error. It’s so unfathomable to realize this is Céline’s new normal.
I just listened to two new interviews with Denise Bombardier and Joselito Michaud. Both of course known Céline well and have interviewed her extensively. Both extremely saddened she’ll never be the same again. 😞
Denise also mentions having been contacted for that new French biography that came out. She didn’t participate but basically called it BS, as did Joselito.

Apparently, this woman seems to has a "normal" life. Yes, medicated -like most of everyone in world-, but alive and with the abilities to keep on with her normal life like every day. I hope that Celine has the same results and this horrible disease be resolved just with some pils...
Well, seems it really depends on the individual case. Seems some can function at 60-70% of their pre-SPS normal, others are bed-bound, or rely on walkers and wheelchairs, and have to constantly avoid triggers like sound and light (clearly impossible for a performer…)
I started following Alexandra Stamatopoulou - she was diagnosed at 14 and uses a wheelchair, but turned her aqua therapy into Paralympic swimming.

They wouldn’t be able to divulge if they knew about her case without her consent even if they did, in fact, know about her case.

Have been trying to educate myself about the disease by following some SPS patients, and while symptoms seem to range greatly, as does response to treatments, this can be truly horrific.
And it doesn’t help that this video of an attack is set to ABM… https://www.instagra...id=YTY2NzY3YTc= (trigger warning)
Some other videos I came across show extreme difficulty breathing during an attack because the airways and diaphragm spasm so much. Comments there from those who know the disease saying this is probably why she won’t be able to sing…
But Céline has already done so much in helping her fellow SPS sufferers feel validated. https://www.instagra...id=YTY2NzY3YTc=
Interesting, saw some comments on LinkedIn from an SPS patient who saw Céline in rehearsal several years ago, and apparently she fell twice during one song in a way that made him wonder if she has this. Apparently significant weight loss is another early sign. So who knows, perhaps she has had this percolating for years and, like most with SPS, it took years to diagnose.

Terrible... I hope our Celine does not experience this
