Yeah we were 4 in the theater at 4PM 😅

I kinda wish they just put the movie on streaming right away, I’d rather that, than for it to be a bust. I hope the numbers are decent.
I have such a busy weekend I won’t be able to get to the theatre until Thursday of next week at earliest. s*** I hope they don’t remove it before that.

No she’s playing  real Celine Dion is what I’m told, ofc she had a script but she also told them for a certain line that they wanted her to do… “I wouldn’t say that” and they removed it. So I don’t see the difference.

Well, sounds like more than just that one line from what Jim has said.
But he claims to have done lots of research about her and wrote her story into the character in a way that would feel natural to her (or at least that was his aim).

I just think that French critic would say a “water down” Celine was in the movie only because I think the “American” English artist Celine Dion is different than what the francophone sees from Céline. This was clearly written for the pop star Celine Dion and not the French artist. I could see how they could see that version is “watered down”  to them per se but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad representation of global Celine!

Unless she were to Adlib the entire script  than it would be considered “fictionalized” but it’s still Celine played by Celine, with her approval of the script of what she would and wouldn’t say taken into consideration… to me it makes no difference. If Priyanka or Sam didn’t want to say a line as Mira and Rob, I bet the director would’ve told them to do it anyways. Celine gets a say because she’s playing Celine.

For what it's worth, the social media reviews I've seen so far have been largely positive (but it's mostly Sam, Priyanka & Celine super-fans).

Why hasn't Celine given us a video message for this movie? It can help it get boost, since a lot of news press are attracted by when Céline shows herself these days. Also, will she record one?

I mean, she recorded a Christmas message, that means she might be doing better right now. She could take time and make a short video for Love Again.

Acting is really good.

Sam is really good too (and eye candy) but he’s not that comfortable with Celine at the beginning probably because she wasn’t actually there with him apparently…?
All were good.

Except Sam’s Boss… i didn’t like his acting at all. Luckily we only see him 3 times


As for the songs… i smiled everytime. It wasnt too much…and they were well placed. Love Again is definitely the only slow song from the 4 others i heard. I’m excited to put them on repeat. Oh and no PMLALS sorry 😞

I honestly don’t picture anyone other than Celine’s fans seeing this (which there are a lot of us!!!)

Three observations about Celine’s part
- Celine is a damn good actress!
- The script does not really match her personality. It’s too patronizing
- The trailer had some parts which I did not see in the movie. Maybe they’ll release a DVD with deleted scenes or something

Also, while nobody should get their hopes up yet, the movie officially opens tomorrow, (5/5 ) so who’s to say she won’t say anything or even do a video… anything’s possible!
