Without an update from Celine herself - and by no means does she have to provide one - the continued lack of any kind of progress of her music career suggests she’s not well enough to record / perform on a consistent basis.

That’s all fans / media / public CAN think right?

Céline’s only breaks throughout her whole career have only ever been to have children and to care for Rene. Other than that she’s ALWAYS performed.

And for the record, whatever the truth is, I’m GLAD she wasn’t part of the Eurovision final. She’s tried her best to distance herself from it her whole career. A video message was fine.

I don't know about that either, if I believe it or not. So many different reports all claiming having exclusive sources... well I hope we will hear from Céline soon and hopefully with very positive news

I’m calling BS on all of this. She never went to Basel. She recorded a message to them that aired in the Semi Finals (something she had recorded months before). Also, I find it hard to believe she had a crisis then pulled up to a Coldplay concert two weeks later. This is all for clicks and views, something Celine has been known in the past to be the center of for Parisian news. Also, this is no where in the doc. The doc is strictly about Deux and was recorded around the time of Eurovision.

That’s my thoughts but a “crisis” and then right away fly out of there and head back on a jet to Vegas with the risk of it happening again. The episodes of SPS are more prone to happen back to back in a sense. I’ve read that it’s common to happen more than once in a day or two then completely go away for long periods of time. Had this been true, I doubt her team would want her in the clouds flying 15+ hours…

Also like you said show up to concert not long after, and she then recorded a long documentary and Mother’s Day message.
Then after that she recorded the medley tribute with Scott and sounded great… for me not only don’t I buy this news but the timeline seems to not add up.

However, all this to say I agree with Shaun, sadly without an update from Celine… the only thing we can assume now is her health either hasn’t improved enough to her liking to return or they are still managing it’s not consistent… when Celine herself said that she’s going back to Vegas and wanted to “invite us to see her again to come again”…. I don’t buy that she was talking about years down the road, clearly something was supposed to happen within the last year and it didn’t, the question now is why and is there hope for the future.

I do find the timing odd if it’s true about Eurovision. Wasn’t the French doc interview filmed in May? The Eurovision final was May 17th. Perhaps she filmed it before going to Basel (if she went that is) but if it was filmed after, would she be up to filming that say a week after an episode and the no show at Eurovision?

It also goes against what John K reported. Yes her team may have said she was in Vegas to save face but normally he gets the truth and presumably there’s a relationship there between someone in camp Celine and John, would they lie to him?

It’s all so odd. The fact this rumour wasn’t mentioned in the doc also makes me wonder how true it is.

I agree with you, also Terrill or anyone new as therapist hasn’t been with Celine when does these events in awhile… if you remember he was always with her at first… at the Grammys, at hockey games, and the basketball game in Boston, at the movie premiere for IACD in New York… then we haven’t really seen him or any therapist after when she’s out and attending possible “triggering” events. That to me means they felt comfortable enough to try and wing off of the constant presence of a medical professional… if it was bad not only would I not let Celine Dion into a stadium of 70,000 people, I’d also not let her how with medical professionals there on standby… they let both happen. So hopefully that means she’s much improved.

I mean, we’ve already caught them in a lie… They claim that Céline Dion announced that she was going to be there and had to pull out after having an episode in the documentary, which we know is false. Also, the fact that they waited till today or yesterday rather to start this rumor up again goes to show that they are trying to capitalize off of the documentary attention in order to receive more Clickbait

At this point every article just feels like click bait. But when you have no real news to counteract it then that is all we can expect to get.

I saw some entertainment show report on it like it was real. That is crazy that no real verification happens any more with stories.

Worst case scenario, it could’ve been possible that she was planning on attending weeks before she suffered an episode and decided to pull the plug… I’m not sure I even believe that, however, that’s more believable than these claims that she was actually already in Switzerland and pulled out minutes before the show. I don’t buy it. I also don’t buy her not being seen in Basel had she been there. Is 2025 some hour would have taken and posted a pic of her. We saw her in Paris and Saudi Arabia before-hand.

I like you don’t buy it, however the elephant in the room remains why the silence and is there hope for any career moves going forward.

A friend of mine is sound engineer at Eurovision.
He told me that everything that has to do with sound goes through him.
Even if she was a surprise act for everyone, there had to be some signs during rehearsals that something was planned. But it seriously wasn't.
If there would have been any indication he would have told me and I would have been there.

It’s crazy how this story went everywhere in 24hrs.

Back in the day something like this Rene or one of her two publicists would have responded to confirm or close down pretty quick…

And GMB usually check their sources before covering something like this on their show.

Anyway it seems John has spoken to one of his Vegas sources again regarding this.
Let’s move on.

Isn't 2 weeks enough to fully recover? Because remember in her docu after an hour of crisis (Well, it was shortened in the docu) after that she stood up and sing over to a song like nothing happened. LOL

Well Janet concludes her residency in the next week and half at Resorts World.  Nobody else is booked after her.  What a sad state that theatre has become.  There’s gotta be some pissed off business guys over money lost out on having Celine.
