It doesn't always feel that authentic though and she seems uncomfortable a lot of the time. That's when the annoying random singing starts. I also think that in English she slightly struggles to keep up with the humour and that's not great either.

And after all there was nothing wrong with the image she was projecting before. Celine, just be yourself.

I think in some contexts she is. But some of these interviews are so hard to watch when she gets uncomfortable. Compare them to say the Radio 2 interview in September where she was calm, open, honest Celine and there is no comparison. I just feel like she is trying too hard to be different sometimes and it doesn't always work.

I so much agree ,she gets uncomfortable now a days doing interviews,unlike 1997 or 1999 she was herself funny and decent,but when she is trying so hard to be funny everything goes wrong ,to be honest she was not funny on carpool karaoke nor jimmy fallen ,I used to love her with Rosie O’Donnell

No, not at all. This is why i'm surprised she's doing it. The network Bravo has all reality shows on, most about the Housewives and many times during this show they show a lot of clips of these other shows. I sure hope they don't tonight because Celine will be lost. So mainly people that watch these reality shows will watch this show since many are on as guests, also a lot of gay men watch this show so I guess it's a big deal that Celine is on.

Fans of this show are primarily women and gay men, who make up the majority of Céline’s demographic. With the Dionaissance in full swing, I think this was a smart move for her promo tour, as it weeds out a lot of disinterested viewers (like the old folks who tune in to prime time network hoping to see the “old” Céline). Plus, I’m sure Andy is dying to meet Pepe!!

Yeah, it's kinda "cater to the base". I just think they tried very hard to get her on since so many other "divas" have already been on. She is truly one of THE last to be on. Cohen hardly ever mentions her though, mainly gushes over Mariah who's been on a few times.
