That Stranger Things sync is a result of two years of work on the part of her label’s sync team. And they’re still actively working with Netflix to monetize it.

The recent IACBTMN syncs (e.g. that Extra commercial, which reportedly is in the running for the Cannes Lions, and clearly the renaming of Text For You) means Sony’s sync team is doing its job. Hopefully we’ll see more uplift once the movie comes out. But you can’t bank on every such sync to hit the bull’s eye and the popular zeitgeist like the Kate Bush / Stranger  Things example. That really is an outlier.

We do have some tour data for the tour though, and it seems the average gross was somewhere between $430,000 and $650,000 per show. So even at the low end if you made every single show a gross of $430,000, she’d still clear $63 million on that tour. Let us not forget that during the summer 97 leg she was performing to crowds well in excess of 55,000 each night.

Celine's "Because You Loved Me" just passed 300 million streams!  One of the greatest songs and greatest vocal performances ever recorded!



"Because You Loved Me" is also eligible to be RIAA Triple platinum!  Let's hope that Celine's team will request that updated certfication soon
