What's tiresome is all the disrespectful comparisons and put downs of other artists that Celine never engages in.  Her fans could take a page from her.  I've seen nothing but respect for Celine on other forums, and it would be nice if people could learn a bit more from both Celine's and Madonna's messages of love and tolerance.  Everyone has different strengths, and fortunately the world is big enough to appreciate more than one person.

I'm not disrespectful by pointing out Celine was the best. She really was. And to think that she is always respected by fanbases is rather funny. And not true.

That's exactly the kind of comment I'm talking about.  Celine isn't perfect all the time either, but we appreciate her no less.  To me, a performance is about the thought and emotion that goes into each.  Whether you enjoy it or not is your personal opinion, but who cares what a poll of strangers on the internet thinks anyway?

That's subjective, but perfectly illustrates why I participate here less and less (I'm not deaf).  It was a great performance and heartfelt, but it was lip-synced.  If you can accept that, you'll have to also accept that other people can also appreciate the strengths of other performances even if they're not perfect.

Madonna sang with emotion and from the heart.  Britney, did well for Britney.  I was happy for her that she's no longer at her rock bottom levels and seemed to enjoy being on stage for the first time in a public appearance since her breakdown.  Guess what, Celine wasn't 100% in tune either even though it was pre-recorded.

Nobody expects Celine to be Britney or Madonna or vice versa, so I don't see why everything has to be a constant comparison and put down.

so in your heart, forget about Celine a minute, you think that the two of them were the best?   someone who think that , it is the fan speaking. Madonna, i love her, and i'm not in love with Pink, but i'm able to admit that Pink was better, it is not the fan speaking.

No, it's not.  And Pink was terrible.  Music is subjective, but putting down everyone in every other post does nothing positive for the thread or forum.  Seriously, life must be very dull if you can only enjoy one person.

Bottom line, this place would benefit from less irrelevant criticism of others that should have no impact on whether you enjoyed Celine or not.  And the hypocrisy of thinking you have some moral leg to stand on when praising Celine's lip-synced performance over someone else's less than note perfect live effort.

You miss the point. I do accept that people can appreciate whatever they want. But I am also free to comment on their taste!

And to be honest, my initial comment was more about the shocking social media power of Britney and Madonna. Madonna did not even deliver but she was ranked #2 on the poll.

You call out quebecflower on putting down singers (she just said Madonna was out of tune) and in the same comment you call Pink terrible. I see a small contradiction here.

Moreover, you say the forum would benefit from less irrelevant criticisms but this is all you've been doing! And your critisism IS irrelevant because nobody here bashed singers!
