This is so sad
What a lost, even if we were expecting its still surreal. Im shocked.

I was supposed to see celine this weekend in vegas, most likely the shows will be cancelled.

Celine and Rene were truely dedicated to one another until the end. I hope she takes as long as she needs to grieve. I cannot imagine what she and the boys must be going through right now. </3

I think I'm gonna cry. I legit don't know how I'm going to get used to knowing Rene is gone. I know we didn't see him much anymore but knowing he was still here was comforting. I hope Celine doesn't do what she did when her dad died. I hope she stops and grieves and takes her time.

This man was the greatest, orchestrating the greatest career of the last quarter century - my heart breaks for Céline and her three beautiful children.

Adios Rene, you were the greatest. And I just hope you know how loved you were by the millions of us that have loved Céline's music over the last 3 decades.

I was hoping too that things were getting better for him, especially with the way Celine been acting and all the work load she has been taking on this year.

Celine & Rene were the only celebrity couple I cared to keep up with. I have respect for what he did for Celine- both prefessional and in their private lives. God bless the Dion-Angelil family.

Wow I have no words.... I had a great time with friends, laughing and enjoying dinner, just as they were about to leave, I saw a message from Tim, saying René has died... I can't believe it just yet. It's weird because as a fan of almost 20 years, I knew this day would come, but now the day has come and I just have no words... I am shaking a bit. I feel so sorry for her for their kids, for his kids. I hope he did not suffer too much and I hope they will come to peace with his passing soon.

I was worried from the moment we heard he was sick again, but they have behaved so well ever since from Rene's continued encouragement to Celine's statements in public.   I think they were granted a great blessing when he recovered in 1999; I am so glad that he experienced that time of rest in 2000, the birth of the children with Celine and all that has happened since that time.

  I can't imagine how Celine feels as I know she has depended on his guidance since the beginning.  Prayers for her; yes, the tears did well up even though I knew it was probably coming...
