Have you guys watched any of the rehearsals yet?

Should be an interesting week before the finals

I have and it looks like we're in for a treat next Saturday. So far Belgium, Greece and Georgia had the best rehearsals (in my opinion of course).

To me russia and serbia were the best rehearsals vocaly speaking! I loooove the netherlands and it seems that she's going for some powerful adlibs compared to the studio. Can't wait. Im not a big fan of my entry but i saw her on tv and she said her team worked on the orchestration so that it would sound more appropriate for the show. She talked about the last notes being raised. Anyway she' a Céline fan with one hell of a voice. I think she might get a few points

I am rooting this year for Italy again ... but I am liking Belgium and Australia more and more ... and Serbia's song is such an amazing song ...

when it comes to live vocals, Greece reigns over all the other countries, I'm really impressed.

what about the Serbian staging?
to me it looks a bit cheap, especially those flags and masks

I know right ... the staging is cheap ... but the song is awesome ... not sure how it will come over once the voting starts ... but I do hope it atleast gets a chance to be in the Final ...

I might not like the staging, but Bojana has got a great voice, during the rehearsals she really showed how talented she is.

What do you guys think about the contestants? Our trijntje failed with her song walk along. The song was just not good enough but her clothes and staging was very bad as well. Even though her singing was good.
Most of the contestants were great but i could not believe that Albania went to the final show! Never heard such an awful song and ear crunching singing!  It was plain awful imo.  Greece hAd a song in the style of Celine but for me the song was too dramatic and came over as if the singer wanted to show her vocal abilities.  Finland failed with their song,  hated it. Sorry for you finland fans in here, but it was not my cup of tea!  Russia..wow, that was great! Perfect staging, perfect lights and screens and wonderful good singer! Hungary nice duet and nice use of the coming up of the female singer. Georgia looked great with a sort of xena the warriorprincess and the thundercllouds around her. Romania, nice coldplaylike popsong. Armenia was weird and i did not like song so much. Belgium, catchy hitsong with nice artistic dance and stage presence and a very good singer

to be honest I was shocked when I heard Elhaida from Albania messing up her song (she's in my top 3), i was like hasn't she won the Voice of Italy? hopefully she'll be better in the final and show her true potential
I was impressed with Russia, Greece (our commentator said Maria Elena's style of performing reminds him of Celine) and Belgium
Armenia sounded really odd and random, quite messy - I'd swap it for Belarus
I feel bad for the Netherlands, thought she'd make it
plus, I'm so glad both Denmark and Finland failed to reach the final

And the weird thing is, when I look on youtube Albania has a lot of likes, not so much dislikes at all!  I looked on the dutch twitter that night and there was not one tweet positive about Albania, some said - all I could think of, where is the mute button of my tv - and another - my dog was weeping - and - thought my ears were exploding
Anyway, as for the dutch song, yes it was catchy, but too much refrain, not much going on in the melody, just 3 chords and a lot of aye aye aye aye. And that batcape she was wearing was not a good thing at all. And she was standing on the same spot the whole time. What I don't get is - you know that the show is coming months before, so you have to have a solid plan how to make the best of the stage and find the right clothing and don't just switch clothes at the very end. For Trijntje that cape was comfortable but it looked hideous. Btw I can see Serbia on a boat in Amsterdam this year ;-)

btw the Russian song, I can totally see Celine singing it. She needs new songs in this style. Big powerballads.

The 1st Semi-Final Top 10: Albania, Armenia, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Estonia, Georgia, Serbia, Belgium

I was shocked that Netherlands did not make it to the final, but Armenia's song was awful (I love the music video) but their performance was not good at all ... So happy for Serbia and Belgium ... Russia impressed as well ... I certainly thought Moldova and Belarus did a great job as well ...

So looking forward to the 2nd Semi-Final tomorrow!!!

I guess these six countries I marked in your post are certain to get into the final, the rest will be fighting it out.
I'm not sure about Poland though, it might go either way for Monika.

the guys from Wiwibloggs said that during yesterday's jury dress rehearsal Latvia and Israel were the best so there's a chance Israel will get into the final.

Yes, it is high time they won again ... it's a shame the Netherlands are out though, would have been fun to be Amsterdam 2016 ... but as you know, I am all for Rome 2016 or Milan 2016 ... #TeamItaly
