And we don't have the tracklist yet for "Very Best Of". So let's hope there will be an unreleased song on it, like on
My Love Ultimate Essential Collection. But my guess is that it's gonna be another early french songs compilation...

I know this would be a daunting task -- and it will probably never happen because it would cost a lot of money and not make much money. Not to mention how time consuming it'd be. And all the red tape they'd have to cut through would be ridiculous! I'm a huge Karen Carpenter fan -- and her brother, Richard, has pretty much scraped the well clean of all of their incomplete tracks and demos from when the Carpenters were recording (before Karen's death of anorexia in 1983). True, many of those songs aren't as polished and many of them were not anywhere near final takes. But I'm still so grateful to have them -- because it helps to complete Karen's legacy. And her smooth, velvety, one of a kind voice gets to shine that much more.

My assumption, though, is that Celine and Rene look at those unreleased tracks as "not worth the time" -- and they'd rather focus on new material and her current shows. But if those songs remain unreleased -- I'd always feel a small void when it comes to Celine's career.

They will do this when she is dead. She isn't dead yet, so it would be wise to stop hoping for it

It is kinda weird that they used this tracklist because for Europe:
There is NO Think Twice! Which was on the European/Uk version! Also BATB was on that aswell. but If You Asked Me To and LCMM weren't!
In a way this IS an unique release, cos ATW had 16 tracks at least! Still... calling it the very best is so misleading cos besides TTWII none of the new ATW songs can be called her 'best', if you're looking at it hit wise!

IMO they should have used the single disc version of My Love! At least that had songs up to 2007 on it!

They need to stop releasing compilations like this. This is nothing more than a repackaged ATW album minus BATB! I didn't buy My Love: The Ultimate Essential Collection because it was just a compilation album with already-released material minus the one additional song on it. An album of unreleased tracks would be awesome and it wouldn't be difficult for Sony to put together. They could do it without Celine for the most part and it would be like receiving a new album. As a matter of fact, for those of us who are in the U.S., we are always missing out on "bonus" releases that go to places like Japan. Does anyone know why these songs are not released here in the States?

This is ATW revisited, and not a compilation... btw we do have enough compilations as you explained!

Here in Europe we don't have either much of "bonus" releases. No idea why Japan has...
If anyone could explain ???

actually in the past we had a lot of bonusses in Europe, think:

Just walk away - TCOML
Natural Woman/Your Light - FIY
Be the Man & Spanish song - LTAL
Superlove - ANDHC

the reason Japan has more songs on a CD, lies in the fact that cds are way more expensive than in Europe or the States. So they get more value for their money this way.
