Celine Dion will be a part of NBC's "The Eyes of Christmas" on NBC.
http://www.prweb.com...web11407257.htm
“The Eyes of Christmas™" television special is the brainchild of blind activist and RP International (RPI) founder Helen Harris. The event features TheatreVision™ airings of Frank Capra’s “It’s A Wonderful Life,” which includes an optional simulcast audio track description on the SAP channel for the visually impaired, narrated by former President George Herbert Walker Bush. NBC will air the special on December 14th and December 24th at 8:00 p.m.
“The Eyes of Christmas” features a special 2 hour TheatreVision described holiday classic movie of Charles Dickens, “Scrooge” and a 30-minute broadcast program on Christmas Day hosted by Vin Scully on Christmas Eve and morning on ION Media Network, WE -Women’s Entertainment Network and FOX-KCOP Los Angeles.
Participating stars that will be sharing Holiday messages and support for RPI include Vin Scully, Celine Dion, Garth Brooks , Reba McEntyre, Sandra Bullock, Tom Hanks, Nicole Kidman, Bob Costas and Natalie Cole. Hollywood studios supporting the show and featuring special film trailers include; Paramount (“Jack Ryan”), Universal (“47 Ronin,”), Disney (“Saving Mr. Banks”), Sony (“American Hustle”), 20th Century Fox (“Secret Life of Walter Mitty”) and Warner Bros. (“The Hobbit: Chase III”). Harris invites sighted viewers to tune in to take the "traveling eye test." This simple visual test is designed to help people spot possible signs of eye disorders to seek early diagnosis and treatment, possibly averting vision loss.

Awesome. As much as I want her to sing one of her Christmas songs, I'd rather her sing Breakaway. Though, it's not very Christmasy.
Whatever she performs, I'll be happy!

Good, I wonder if she'll be performing, but whatever aids the album prior to the shopping extravaganza, the better.

Worse would be that she didn't appear at all, dear Javis.
If she didn't appear at all, we would never know because it wouldn't have been announced Luis

What's the issue with a pre-recorded performance?
Nothing. But in the Whitney Houston Grammy Tribute it was disappointing that she was one of the few singers who wasn't there in person, so she had to send a prerecorded performance. Same as with the "Live 8" event in 2005, she did a prerecorded video and speech, and the audience responded with a massive "booo" because this event is precisely called "LIVE 8", to gather singers in the same stage to do live performances

So you can turn off George, right?

Guys keep in mind that Celine and the other guests will be sharing 'Holiday messages', it says nothing about live performances...
Tournée Européenne in Paris (December 1, 2013)
Céline Dion Live 2016 in Antwerp (June 20, 2016)
Céline Dion Live 2017 in Birmingham (July 27, 2017)

She already did this in 2007 (http://www.celinedio...s-of-christmas/) and 2009 (http://www.celinedio...s-of-christmas/).

I hope she'll perform. If she wont then it is useless for the new album.

Even though I'm hoping for a performance, I guess it'll be just a pre recorded holiday message.
I'm not complaining though, it's better than nothing.
