Celine, the fan, talks about her admiration for Adele.

"I'm such a big fan, like the rest of the world. I find her talent amazing, huge, and I love seeing this beautiful, very sophisticated girl succeeding. Her voice is beautiful and her songs are beautiful, too. I admire her so much and I hope to meet her. For me, Adele being in the middle of new music is a breath of fresh air. A magnificent voice without artifice." Celine will honor her by replacing the Michael Jackson medley with Adele's flagship title, Rolling in the Deep. A major revival of her show begins tonight in Las Vegas. "I will interpret all of it. I find it all beautiful. This girl fascinates me."

   I know!!! I was translating the article for my blog and then I red this!!! Such a great idea; a very "current" and modern touch for the show and for Céline herself! I wish she also sings Someone Like You.

I loved the Jackson medley, but I think it's an great idea that she changed a few parts of the show!! This way it's fun for her, and for the fans!!!

I absolutely loved "Man In The Mirror" but I'm curious to see how "Rolling in the Deep" would sound. Even if I'm kinda against this change =P

Wow, I am so excited to see this! Adele likes Celine and I absolutely love Adele and adore Celine! This is current and should be very interesting! If she has to cover, this is the song to do!

I'm curious how it is gonna sound, but no doubt the Adele-fans will discuss it on youtube when the song has been added to Celine's setlist. And I doubt if we can expect them to positive about that.. I think it would have been better to honour Whitney Houston with a song. Adele is still alive and famous and they may say oh Celine is desperately trying to get success again by covering Adele.
So, yes I am curious how it is gonna sound, although I have the feeling Celine's voice does not work with this song, Someone like you or Chasing Pavements would have been a better choice.

I think it should be Adele respecting and paying tribute to Celine in concert not the other way around.....
I think its a bit pre mature in Adeles career to have someone paying tribute to her, espectially a Diva who has been there, done that. Not over the moon about this....... I dont get it......

AMEN! i understand she admires Adele and loves her voice, but then picking one of Adele's biggest hits and covering it...not a good idea at all.
by the way - again- COVERING. Why always covers?? Celine has enough beautiful songs in her repertoire!  What about the song "US" or "Miles to Go before I sleep"  ( good ending of the show) or what about the great French songs from the D'eux album, like Papillon or Memoire D'Abraham?
I think it is about time that Celine changes the title of this show, because it has her name on it, yet it does not represent the content at all.

Oh lets not do this again lol I like the idea of Celine singing a song I'm sure she sings at home, in the shower etc. It seems very real and cool. I would have rather it taken a different songs place, but none the less i'm excited!

don't forget me wrong, I am excited to hear the new song, but I still think it is a bad decision to bring this song permanently in the setlist.
I could hear each and every song from Celine, and she will make something of it, because she has a fantastic voice, but it is not original and indeed to mature since Adele is very popular at this moment and people will compare the versions with each other. Glad she likes this song.. but too soon.

oops.. yes you are right haha but thati s a great song to sing with a big orchestra like this, I think. And it works very well with overall evening-gown theme of this show.

I find it strange that Celine is covering a relatively new artist like this. I can see that with the new English album she is trying to reinvent herself to the younger generation, but I think I would have preferred a Whitney Houston/Donna Summer tribute to replace the MJ tribute...

I'm sure it will sound great though!

Good to see the back of the Michael Jackson section to be honest. It was very relevant and touching when the show began but it's not so much now so in my opinion it's sensible to remove it.

Of course I'd love to see it replaced with Celine Dion songs however if this can't happen it's good to see her covering a modern song at least and not 30-40 year old songs nobody knows.

I am VERY un-happy and angered by this. I first of all find it very rude/disrespectful to just replace MJ with Adele. Adele is hardly comparable to Michael freakin Jackson but whatever...    And Rolling In The Deep in one of the most annoying songs I have heard in a long time.
And Not that I agree with it, but fine if you wanted to take out the MJ medley, cool beans. So tell me why an "Adele" tribute is a better idea than a Whitney Houston tribute? She has only expressed half her career that she loves Whitney! Or a Bee Gees Tribute? Another groups she has loved forever. Or I know I've got a real bizzare idea, how about more of her songs!? French medley? Of course not! that would be too crazy! Adele. Much better choice  

I am so angry right now.... I rarely post on here but I had to say something...
I hope I wake up later and find out I was just dreaming and there is not a stupid Adele post on here.

Yes I  wonder what is going on in Celine's head or if it was her or Rene's decision to bring this song to the current setlist.
A whitney tribute would have been the best to do at this moment and indeed Whitney has been very important for her and
Adele is just an artist that is currently very popular and who has a popular sound. But to make a tribute of her doing Rolling in the deep,
I don't get it anymore.

We love Celine's voice, it's the reason why I am a fan. But she is neglecting her own repertoire, only doing some "fan favorites" and now even singing songs from a artist that is now popular. Why oh why?  Of course it would sound interesting to hear Celine singing a song we all know, but is there really a need to sing such a song now in Vegas? I am sorry to say it, but the Vegas show is starting to look like a very expensive covershow with not much of Celine in it anymore. If she would have added a Whitney song and for instance, Immortality, it would have made sense, since both are legends and she also worked with the Beegees, and Whitney has been a great influence for her career.

one thing's for sure: she can't please everybody. I agree with her on paying tribute to Adele, she is a fan after all so, why not? Some fans are always complaining 'cause she's always singing old songs from the past century, and when she finally goes for a current song, they disagree?!
