Baptist announces $60 million expansion

Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute announced Monday it is planning a campaign to raise $60 million for a new capital expansion campaign to expand its facilities at the Baptist Hospital campus in Kendall.
The 10-year plan includes new spaces to integrate spaces interventional cardiology, vascular surgery, heart surgery and interventional radiology to prepare for future innovations. In most hospitals, these disciplines are set apart. The project will include developing a Center for Aneurysm Therapy.

The fund-raising drive will start with Celine Dion performing at a private concert on Dec. 16. Dion is donating her time because of her gratitude about the way the institute treated her husband three years ago, Baptist said.
For the aneurysm center, Victor E. Clarke announced he would match all grants up to $5 million, Baptist said.

Baptist Health South Florida, which includes the cardiac institute, operates Baptist, Doctors, South Miami and Homestead Hospitals in southern Miami-Dade.

Aww!!   That's nice of Celine to do. I can't wait until this concert takes place!!!   I just hope that it has more video footage and pics then the private concert she did in Montreal. I wonder if Celine will be performing any new material from her upcoming album!!

I don't think we'll get any video footage of this, just like we didn't get it from the Private Concert from August.

Yeah it was heart related but a straight forward proceedure from what I remember... it wasn't long after the tour ended as they were staying at a nearby hotel till their florida home was finished...

God told me about 8 weeks before Rene' had the problem that I was to write to Celine and tell her it was iminate for her to take some time off. I wrote to her immediately. I'm not sure if she got the letter directly, because, there are people who open her mail. The people who do not believe in Christ, might think I'm a lunatic or something, but I had been writing to her for 20 something years, and those things I had mentioned in my letters had come to pass.

One of the things she loved to do, was to go into a church and just lay in a pew and enjoy the peace that she felt. With her popularity, she couldn't just go  when she wanted too because there was always fans following her. I'm not sure if she ever got my letter and if she did, did she indeed heed God's warning; but all I know is that when Rene' had his episode, Celine was taking a little time off and it was then that Rene' had his heart problem.

Celine, Rene' and Family, you will always be in my heart and my prayers.
