well what they should of done is replace My Love ultimate Essential Collection with The Essentials album that would probably make more sense.

But now wen i go to the supermarkets or CD Stores in France they have changed the album to the European version but in order to get the My Love Essential Collection that was released in France before the change you have to order it online i think.

I saw it at FNAC on Champs-Elysees today and it was selling for 9.99 Euros.

The cover was disgusting and I didn't want to embarrass myself taking a picture of it as there were tons of people around me buying Rihanna and Adele's latest albums

when you are a celine dion fan, and you are if you are on this channel, chances are big you have all her cd's, I do too, so why would you want to buy the next compilation cd again with songs you already have on the other albums? Unless you want to collect these cd's and want to have it as a collectorsitem, stalled in your glass cabinet haha no kidding, I just don't get it why people in here still buy a cd with songs they already have.. for me it is a waste of money..

In the US, they are releasing "The Essential Celine Dion 3.0" on August 30th.  Here's the marketing sheet for it.

I don't have a track list for the third disc, but if you notice it says "Bonus Disc includes 'The Reason' and
'When I Fall In Love'".

They may end up re-issuing the "Essential" CD into "The Essential Celine Dion" - they've done that with other artists.  They released "The Essential Aretha Franklin 3.0" and then a while after they released "The Essential Aretha Franklin" (2 CD's instead of 3).

I'll keep you posted!

UGH!!!!

They did this for Barbra Streisand's Essential Collection.  However, her bonus disc only had EIGHT (8, yes, 8) tracks and none of them were "rare" (but some were newly remastered)

If they don't add any tracks of any rarity (hell, even a remix!) I'll...  well, I'll...






...still buy it because I'm an idiot!

I love how it says "Not just reissued...reimagined"  BULL!  And all of these "eco friendly" packaged crap really grinds my gears.  They totally scratch the discs.

I remember that! At one time they were going to put some rarities on the Barbra one but then they didn't because they were planning a "rarities" disc that never materialized.  I'll let you know a track list as soon as I get one.  I love the 2 CD "Essential" sets but I hate the 3 CD sets because of how cheap the packaging is.  They did have one rare track on the Gloria Estefan 3.0 set... so here's hoping!

One bad thing is, they don't normally send out these "Essential 3.0" CD's to digital providers so you have to buy the whole set if you want anything from the third disc.  At one time, Target stores here in the us had a "Buy 2 get $10 from iTunes" type promotion, which was cool.

Well, for the most part the third disc in the 3.0 series typically only contains 8 additional tracks.  So, I could possibly see the following being the ones on the 3.0 disc:

1) When I Fall In Love (Duet With Clive Griffin)
2) The Reason
3) Misled
4) Have You Ever Been In Love
5) You And I
6) Think Twice
7) Alone
8) At Last

The following are the eight tracks that I WISH to see on the 3.0 disc:

1) Misled
2) Have You Ever Been In Love
3) You And I
4) Unison (Single Mix With Rap) (Feat. Frankie Fudge)
5) In Some Small Way
6) Nothing Broken But My Heart
7) The Reason
8) Eyes On Me

Depending on the tracks on 3.0, I may actually end up buying this since I never bothered with any of the U.S. pressings of the My Love series.

These rereleases creates mayhem on Céline's Spotify page.

Just saw this the other day on spotify and wasn't thrilled.

On spotify each song gets graded for the times its been played by Spotify-users. Then they can be sorted in a list of the artists most popular songs. The problem is that the tracks of each release counts as new tracks. So I don't know how many different countings this makes for the tracks which makes most rereleases.

As much as I'd love for that to happen, the chances are as likely as Celine is to sing "Love You Blind" in "Celine."  IF, and that's a big "IF," we do get anything "rare," it will be something along the lines of "God Bless America."  A song that is commercially available if you know where to look, but isn't on any official Celine album.  So, I doubt we'll end up getting anything like "Cry Just A Little" or "I Have To Dream."  I hope I'm proven wrong, though.
